Ahh, Ari, a very dear friend and lover, where to start? Ari has a heart of solid gold and not a bad bone in his body. He is the most honest person I have ever met- he's sincere and honest with himself and everyone who has the luck of knowing him. He never seems to get angry, even when he has every right to be. He is at peace with himself and the world, so everything just seems to roll right off of him like water on a duck.

My favorite quality about Ari, though, is his unique and uncanny ability to meet people on their level (emotionally, intelectually, etc.). He doesn't filter what others tell him through his own lens of experience. Rather, he listens to what people say, figures out where they are at, and like an acrobat, immediately meets them there. Here is where you can count on his honesty and wisdom, even if the answer is sometimes simply 'I don't know.'

Besides that, he appreciates the good things in life: good music, good drugs, good times, good friends, and good food (excellent cook, by the way). I love that he likes kids and actually has the patience for them. In a way, he's kind of a surrogate dad for a lot of people around him, and though I'm sure that none of us say it often enough, we appreciate it more than words can express. I'm sure he has single-handedly saved a number of lives on a number of occasions.

So, thank you, Ari, for your love, support, patience, and your friendship! Tu es le meilleur de nous tous!
