It doesn't interest me if there is one God or many gods.
I want to know if you belong or feel abandoned.
If you know despair or can see it in others.
I want to know if you are prepared to live in the world with its harsh need to change you. If you can look back with firm eyes saying this is where I stand.
I want to know if you know how to melt into that fierce heat of living falling toward the center of your longing.
I want to know if you are willing to live, day by day, with the consequence of love and the bitter unwanted passion of sure defeat.
I have been told, in that fierce embrace, even the gods speak of God.

I caress her, feel her in my palm
With one swift finger, I enter her
She is moist but still restrained
I expose her, revealing her flesh
Her scent fills my head
She is naked, opened, ready for me
I split her in two, and examine her beautiful geometry, her symmetry
Her depth fills me with joy,
Her sent fills my head leading me into delirium
Her essence flowing on my finger tips
I take my lips to her and taste her nectar
My mouth is full of her and I lose myself in her
She and me are one but now she disapears

This is going to be very criptic to most of you but as I finish the reading of "the Human Use of Human Beings", a thought occurs to me. There is a distinct difference between Prediction and Progression.

Life is an island here and now in a dying world. (Norbert Weiner)
Sounds very depressing but when you get over the beautiful tragedy that is life, you find it very motivating to live it completly.
How else are you going to show off the universe's beauty?

... but to think of it, most of you didn't know I had left. I spent this past month in Belize. Most of the time, I was in the rainforest excavating a mayan site. The rest of the time was spent recuparating from the inceasent bug bites and exhaustion of the jungle life. I did not mind it so much as did other people. Maybe that is why I am planning to go back to the field next year. The people were as good and kind as one could get under the circumstance and a real bond was formed with many peo...

You should really meet Laurent. You will be so happy that you did. And if you weren't happy before, it will not change you. Get happy with yourself and get with the program. And get with Laurent! Its the NEW COOL FAD! The greatest thing is he's got this amazing - truly amazing -head of curly wild hair, flowing and just doing its own thing. And that is such a small part of who his whole persona is. But even Laurent isn't who he thinks he is. He is a spirit in flux, and you should be so lucky to know him to the extent that you do. If you know Laurent, you will learn: how to start a fire, how to fuel it, how to make the fire hot, you will learn about some plants, tea, yourself (if you allow it), soccer, oranges, wine, food, rites of all sorts, motorcycling, helmets, sushi, books, and Chef Spaz - he is the best of them all! Knows how to cook more than just a meal. Prepare to be broiled.

I have finally met the fabulous Laurent in person! Yes, I *am* the luckiest girl in the world! Thanks for all your help this weekend, and the lovely vibe that you and Marina brought to our little desert gathering.
