My Testimonials

May 30, 2007
You have to tell AromaNap how and at what speed you wish to work or get to know. Otherwise, you will be left behind. If she comes to you strong and you can not return her the same, it would be best that you tell her because if you can not return the same kindness, she would tend to think you are not willing.

I have known AN to love tradition and progression. Political ignorance is a no, no. May find not to pay respect to you unless you are proven worth. Likely first impression will be arrogant and judgemental but in the inside, everybody's mom.

I have known AN for 17 years and we are rather close. Not the kind of closeness most would understand. Poeple that get along with are skilled in their own world and/or have a undeniable talent. If you are told that you have something, a talent or strength that you can not see in the same dimension and scale, do not doubt it.

A skilled planner and a perfectionist. A little quiet in the morning and a frequent nap taker. She used to provide aroma therapy and massage therapy to some of the dancers I know. Convincingly different and refreshing.

Her photo work is elegant, simple and easy to understand.

I know her second mother and some of her close friends. Yes, we have worked together a few times.

Sharing Significant Moments

about me
I am extremely sensitive and fragile. Not designed for rough on the edge, unsophisticated sloppy people. I can see right though your eyes, hear your silent unspoken voice, feel every emotional turbulence and in no time, you will be free in a world with no time, no barriers, no hatred and just listening to us both breathing. I now live dematerialized and unattached, saving money to finish my studies in policy making and global economic law.

I have worked, become friendly with, lived with and loved straight men a long time ago, Bi women in my late 20's, Womyn most of my life, PostOp Intersex was my first lifetime partner, and treasured a very fem PreOpMTF. As I get older, I realized there are some elements I look for in a person.

Creative and Healing all the Time
Conservative Upbringing
From a pair of parents that never divorced
Control Over Greed and Cravings
Pursue Education seriously their entire life
Elegance in Language and Social Skills

NEVER FAILS TO KEEP A PROMISE
GAINING KNOWLEDGE IS A DAILY
LIVE IN EXCELLENCE

If you must know in detail... well, good luck in reading the folllowing.
I reach out for individuals that not only relate to some of my values and hopes but also practice of equivalent on a habitual and/or professional level. I am searching for responsible, trust worthy, balanced friendship and if we are to find each other worth more, in business, travel, volunteering, forming a family like unit or anything further from friendship, I am very open for just about everything.

I am always not in the Bay and because I am going through a transformation, I will only be able to meet people that are of significance. You may have to fly out of SF to meet me but I will guarantee you that I am worth any long distance flight.
Thank you.

If you must know the details of my values, here it is. Good luck in reading this. It is lo-------ng!

Education
I find it interesting how education divides us. It makes me think a lot these days. I have immense craving to be receiving and offering global education where ethnocentricity, discrimination and bias are dealt with zero tolerance. I have high respect for education that keeps us aware of any kind of manipulation and control. If you have two contradicting images to each of such words as IMF, WTO, UN, and NATO, I believe we have a lot of reasons to raise our cups in air. Humbly I admit I have yet to learn about how beautiful our planet is or what are the potentials. I do strive on a daily to learn. My early teens were spent in U.K. attending school amongst students with students of diversity of 120 different passports. I have a degree in simultaneous conference interpreting, working on my degree in Buddhist Art History of Japan with emphasis on Heian Period and earlier, I am nearly finished in my Environmental Studies BA, have studied Hawaiian Anthropology and Environmental Economy at Hawaii Pacific University, Native American History, American Indian Anthropology, Environmental Law and Communication Law at Cal State University E.B. It is my personal hypothesis that application of some level of Buddhism into Economics, may assist in shifting some of the consumer patterns that is almost amputating our ability to live in sustainable economy.
Human Rights – This is a huge topic but I find it crucial. I am referring to the definition of human rights defined by UN and Amnesty International and I also seek for human rights of the unborn future generations. The location of your birth, what parents you have, what your primary language may be should not determine whether you are toxin free, HIV negative/positive, abundance of nutrition and education, whether you have access to diverse journalism with different perspectives. Please take the time to read one of my mentor’s articles here. www.yogakailua.com/peace-in-prison.html

Financial Freedom – When one has ways, one has more time at hand. I seek for ability to create funds whether via establishing a NPO or being an investor and to encourage others to do the same instead of working for someone other that profit largely from individuals dedicated effort where people are not fairly compensated. A low risk investment such as 4X is by far my favorite. If I start with a $1 and multiplied that with 2 twenty one times, that is a million, 31 times is a billion. I know that I do not need a lot to accumulate wealth. I aim to operate a NPO in conjunction with eco friendly products and services, cancer and/or toxins contamination victim supporting groups, organic grower associations to encourage consumers to be educated enough for them to be able to make the right choices. Some of the funds that I raise can be used to purchase young trees to be replanted since 95% of US National Forest is gone from logging (data from Cal State University E.B.), giving alternative chemicals that are less linked to illness, miscarriages, birth defects and cancer, raising the awareness of consumers.
Spirituality – I prefer not to limit to religion but the least be able to meditate and balance one’s feelings just a little when needed and has the ability to forgive and pray for one and others. Know how to create positive inside alone without depending on outside elements. Do not compare to others or to oneself from yesterday. Can let go most of the materialistic and social status attachments. The ability to see the common elements of the major spiritual practices and seek for harmony rather than to articulate differences that may give way to hate, misunderstanding, manipulation, control, and confrontation. I have a Shinto up bringing, received Catholic education, practiced Hawaiian spirituality and recently exposed to Buddhism. Up bringing in a double religion family would certainly be a great interest to me. I frequent, First Unitarian Universalist Church of S.F., Glide Memorial Methodist Church, Soka Gakkai International (progressive Buddhism) these days as each locations furnish my diverse needs and niches for me to fill.
Volunteers Spirit – It makes me proud to have friends that are appreciated by their community other than efficiency and profitability, the type of friends that I can write a recommendation letter or can ask to write me one, can be mutually interested to introduce to either relatives and wish for a continuation of the positive relationship into our next generation. Once or twice a week, volunteers for some organization or person in a respectful manner. Whether it is teaching tennis, music or just beach cleaning, cooking for a senior in the neighborhood… I do not care, something to give back to one’s community just to give and not for credit or benefit. I look for something that tells me and that one shares time, intellect and wealth with others. I volunteer either cooking in commercial kitchens, personal kitchens, teaching Japanese, translating private matters between Japanese and English, assist people in their search for assistance, help single mothers, chant for those that are ill and beaten, take photographs of my community people. So, I guess you can say that I am looking for good karma. Zen wa mawaru. (Goodness circulates)

Health – I am no exception to admitting room for improvement on personal health. Semi public figures that have influenced me in person, I will name Lu DiGrazia www.yogakailua.com/school.html and Chip Bernard Abbadessa D.C. At the time I got to know her, I was not a vegetarian but if you have the time to look into what health has been for me, the website is worth looking at. Karim, the previous Manager at Navio at Ritz Carlton Hotel Half Moon Bay, I believe he is now General Manager at Aqua S.F., has presented in perfection to what food is all about. He has showed to me how he individually gives attention to the diners’ state, to sincerely care for extended period of time, to prepare with the at most caution and creativity, to remember any kindness extended and to return the kindness with integrity. Even as a Manager of such prestige, he carries the large silver tray himself to rooms which he wished to give the highest and most considerate attention. We should try to shop, cook, clean, eat, move and rest with the best of one’s ability with factual unbiased knowledge. Prefer to use alternative care or preventative care instead of modern Western medication. It would be great if one is not afraid to look into herbs from around the world, practice yoga or tai chi, checks one’s spines once a year or more often and do not hesitate to buy organic. Practices positive and respects others’ space at least not to bring in negative energy. Vulgar/unhealthy words lead to vulgar/unhealthy thoughts and actions. I find it attractive when a person knows how to decompress alone without drinking or over eating. I have not eaten meat for a while, trying not to start smoking again, have given up on drinking 17 years ago, never tried drugs, try my very best to speak gently and considerately but some find me arrogant/condescending (I think they are correct to feel so) but basically, I am on the healthy side of the pallet. I am DD free and intend to be for the rest of my life.
Listening – This is one of my real dreams. I will in the near future learn to be a good listener. I can understand logic and would debate/process with facts but I am not very good at empathizing to other people’s emotions that may be irrational. You should take note that immature irrational communication skills will ruin my day at ease. I am not the best listener you will find but I logically understand and admire that those that are good listeners are the best people to be with. Good listeners are normally equipped with patience. I am at an age where I find patience to be almost sexy. I am learning to listen and I am looking for people that would share my view and intentionally practice it at their very best. I am not fond of people that are in front of a TV monitor many hours a day watching the most irrelevant programs or playing computer games. I am also not fond of people that drink every day. I like to listen, to be sober every day, giving attention to matters. From my past experience, great listeners are also great in EVERYTHING! 

Respect to Culture, Heritage, History and seniors – This is not as easy as one may think but this is one element which I find so hard to find in a person these days. Someone who can laugh and say, “California is Mexico and Native American Land” I do hope you are laughing right now as you read this line. Apprenticeship under my mentor as to land, spirit, religion, life and heritage, Prof. Ulla Hasager socialsciences.people.hawaii.edu/f...y/ at University of Hawaii Manoa Campus has given me all the answers to why there are so many negative social externalities and how to go about it, how ethnic studies, social science, and anthropology are crucial in solving social problems. Respects the cultural differences and can agree to disagree without misunderstanding. Speaks two or more languages or at least tries to. Lived in more than two countries or at least intends to. An owner of a kitchen with the ability to cook cuisine from around the world is attractive. It is extremely attractive when I see a person capable of being attentive to elderly and can learn from them on a regular. If you are the type of person who would say out loud, “We all came from Africa, you know”, that tells me how you seek for truth of ANY MATTER and ANY TIME of your life. I am partially Mongolian (as I have the Mongolian birth mark), a Siberian/Ainu as I am more of a hunter than a farmer (my large shoulders, lung capacity and round eyes are not typical to the majority of Japanese Yamato race), likely mixed with Jomon as it is my instinct to prefer handcrafted couture arts and decoration even to basic daily functioning items. I still have tiny curls from my genetic connection to the African continent!!! My educational background has given me an insight to what Imperialism is in Japan, Royal in U.K., and why it needs to be that way but also can see the significance to democracy if such thing does actually exist. Once in two weeks or even more frequently, I take the time to talk to seniors on many kinds of agendas. I find such moments to be immeasurably valuable.
Chronology – I am not the most efficient in using time but after all, we live only once. Planning, sharing, arriving, departing, leaving, extending, flowing, letting go, and taking it slow, at times declines to wear a watch… In a city life, there is a set of values in chronology. On a tropical island, there is another. I am looking for people that can understand and apply chronology to live well. Did you just snap your fingers or did you scratch your head?

Domestic Quality Time – Why would you have a home if you do not spend quality time there? Partying every other night, skiing every weekend, sailing every weekend was once a life for me but not any more. I am not a couch potato but not a fan of bars either. Reading, writing, painting, slow cooking, taking care of family, house and plants, giving and receiving massages at home, taking salt baths while listening to soft music are vital for me. If I do make a family, I do intend to have perhaps two dogs in the house because they are the greatest healers other than my therapists!

Family Duties – This is an extension of above. Providing the best and the at most best to children and the mother so that she can be a great mother (not a shopper) is a primary interest to me. I have never been a biological mother but have assisted raising 4 children that are now done with their BA degree, also another child who is now practicing law. The next most important are my partner’s parents and mine and making sure that they are not working too hard until a late age and that they are healthy and happy. Weekday breakfast, weekday bed time, Saturday dinner, Sunday morning are often spent with my family members or close friends. I prefer to cook, eat and clean together either in the house, BBQ garden or beach. I will get irritated if my family members are negligent to family duties to a point where communication lacks between us. I grew up in a biological family where we had a hard time understanding each other but later in my life past 20, I have made my own family where we were extremely tight. I am delighted most when my family members and their friends are in and out of my house all the time. The kind of home where the front door and kitchen door is often busy with young ones coming in and out, where the kitchen is constantly full of healthy things to munch on, the elderly can feel busy taking care of young ones, the mature ones help the young ones. I am almost hurting to make an environment where any small problem is openly shared with amongst my close ones.

Travel – This is something I intend to do at least once a year alone or with my family because I believe that I lose my balance when I stay in one city too long. I like to be with local people instead of hotels to learn how to cook, eat and think like they do. Other than Japan, I have lived in families in U.K., France, Italy, Switzerland, Hong King, Malaysia, Polynesia and USA. I welcome well traveled people.
