To the artists in all 5 boroughs of New York City,
To the artists in all 5 boroughs of New York City,This is an invitation to participate in the second season of “ART or something like it!” a television series about the artists of NYC. “AOSLI” is a television series about artists of all genres, backgrounds and media – from music, performance, writing and poetry to photography, sculpture, film and video. You might already be familiar with the show, it currently airs every Friday on CUNY TV cable channel 75 and streams online 24/7 at www.artorsomethinglikeit.com.
The open call for submissions will begin May 15th and last for one month. Being that this is a non-profit television show, there is no funding to pay any of the artists involved, but that is not what the show is about. It is about inspiration, freedom of expression, independent artists, and supporting local creativity. This is free promotion – a chance to have your work seen by over 2 million television viewers in the 5 boroughs of New York City, as well as an unlimited amount of viewers with internet access around the world. This is a unique opportunity to increase your audience while contributing to a greater exposure of the New York independent art scene.
