I love that there is a holiday that, by its name, offers us a reminder about gratitude.

I have a little thing I do on Thanksgiving, sometimes for other special holidays and meals, and on New Year's Day (always do the black-eyed peas, ham hocks, cornbread and collards thing in honor of my Southern heritage). Last night I saw the film, 2046, directed by Wong Kar Wai. It is a moody, highly stylized film about a writer who reviews/rewrites his past sexual liaisons and loves through his writing of a story set in the future year of 2046. Though the story was interestingly told, I did not actually love the movie because of the story or the characters.
