Ok Ok! So I've thought about it long and hard and this is what I got to say...........
Poi Friend has the best damn since of humor! She makes me laugh even when she's not around. My goodness I'm laughing right now! Sometimes her humor is outragous and to some maybe a lil gross but it makes me laugh so hard I almost piss myself. It is a truely great gift when you can make people smile and laugh. To you my friend, for a wonderful gift of laughter! April 19, 2006
Teri is such a sexy bitch! I wish I could quit her but I just can't. Seriously, I love this chica, she is fabulous! -Ace

that poi friend...she's amazing! spins fire like the devil (and can be quite devilish :), an inspiring and motivating individual....gets me off my butt and shaking my booty instead. the thing I love most (besides the fact that we are kindred spirits and were somehow seperated at birth)...she loves my dogs like they are her own. Oh, and I've seen her ass, in silver hot shorts nonetheless! it was the highlight of my high sierra experience this year ;-)

"poi friend" is just that. A friend of poi. And people who do the poi thing. And as Raine said "HOT HOT HOT", And sometimes she's funny. And she teaches a poi class. Every now and then, she'll throw poi at the crowd, but never killed anyone, that I know of. Oh yeah, she's FINALLY going to Burning Man this year (2005) so look for her, she'll be the one spinning poi.
So, if you like friends and poi, maybe you should connect with the "poi friend"!!! "Better safe than incinerated" I always say. Well, I'll say that from now on. Deal.

Loving the Burning Man tales & pics. Glad to have so many of my friends home (although a bit more dusty than when they left). If you have info on groups, troupes, distributors, manufacturers, etc... that you were impressed with & think everyone should check out, let me know & I'll add them to www.firedanceinfo.com.

Thanks all.
Back in Sac after my visit to Humboldt. It was a great reminder of how blessed I am. Since I have always lived my life by the 'friends as family' model I feel fortunate that I have so many wonderful friends. Many familiar faces at Oysterfest (and to my surprise...sun!), dancing fun with samba ladies, finding a dead bear on the side of 101 with Rachel and nearly getting arrested for our curiosity, and meaningful conversation. Chatting it up with the girlfriend of an ex and feeling happy that I was taught to never burn bridges, since you never know what or who you'll find on the other side. I looked around and saw the people who remind me of myself when I first arrived in Humboldt. A decade later I look closely at the faces that have grown older with me...yes, they have some wrinkles too & their joints don't work quite as well as they once did & some have babies & still they're just as I remember...full of life, love & fun!

"The idea is simple: Select a poem then carry it with you & share it with others throughout the day" Saw this in a local mag & thought it was brilliant. It is the brainchild of a Sac bookstore owner who makes tiny palm sized poetry books. His website is www. poems-for-all. com & it's worth checking out. You can carry any poem. Perhaps one of your own. Regardless, if it inspires anyone to write or read a poem I am all for it!!!
Coming up for the big Green Day Inferknow fun-raiser & wanted to make sure that I see as many of you fantabulous Humboldt honies, sweeties, sugar dumplings, fun pedlers & booty shakers as possible!!!

After 9 years living behind the redwood curtain it is at last my time to go. It has been an amazing experience & I look forward to the strange day that I am merely a visitor to Humboldt County. I've loved the trees, the beach, the people, the music, the dancing, the smiling, the laughing, the learning and the community. The fire was fun, too:)

Alas, grad school calls to me. A change of pace and a change in focus. Closer to family and closer to reaching the educational goal I've put off for so long. Much love to you all. I'm only a tribe message away!! Teri
