Lend Your Mind-Power To This Puzzle:

Despite the apparent perception of approaching recession and lack,
most of those reading this live in a culture into which has been accumulated
the majority of the wealth and energy of the human world.
Think of all the plunder of gold in the "Conquest" era
and of all of the economic manipulation since that has lead to the current
moment in time, wherein most of us can manifest such dreams, fancies and visions
on the material plane if we get motivated.
I feel ambivalently about this because I love my artist's life of easy self-expression,
yet I know that it is fueled by centuries of blood and pillage.

my question is:
What are we here to do with this massive accumulation of energy?
It all comes dirty...more negative Karma than any of us can ever imagine...
yet we are responsible for the direction of its flow.
we are born into a position where our intentions connect to an incredible
amount of material resource. From the fulcrum where we stand, we can move mountains.
What are we doing with it? What are we to do with it? What is our role in this story?
What can we do to use our privilege for the benefit of life-systems larger than our personal gratification?

I see a very positive change coming with the coming of green-collar jobs that support a balanced relationship with mother Gaia. We should lead by example and devote our massive abundance of wealth to sustainability(we'll have to if we're not to be bested by Peak Oil). As far as our obligation to the rest of the world, I don't agree with people like Bono who say we need to dump massive amounts of money into Third World countries. I think for the most part we need to stop our economic colonialism and allow them to determine their own destiny. Every country in the world has enough wealth within it to support a comfortable lifestyle for its citizens. It's just a matter of how it's distributed.

Anyway, I fear I'm once again getting off-topic. The way we need to learn to use our wealth is to eliminate waste from the equation. There is no waste in nature -- everything gets put to use. We ought to apply that lesson to our own society and find uses for everything that is currently wastefully spent.

It is time for us to truly awake, stop living this nightmare and give power back. We are still living the lies and illusions that exploit and oppress ancient cultures. We must humbly apologize for our recent and past aggressions. We must beg for wisdom from the Elders and Medicine people about how to live in harmony with the land we have been occupying and the beings we have been tyrannizing.

We do not need to do anything terribly amazing to benefit the planet. We just need to get down off our self-imposed thrones and live simply, respectfully and locally. We do not need to lead any revolution or historical movement. We just need to stop living in the current system, reestablish a connection to the land and focus on basic needs such as food, shelter and water. Perhaps the best thing we can do is just sacrifice our privileges and become like most other humans on this planet.

I will
I will face my insignificance and expiration everyday
I will love in the face of war
I will be compassionate to the wasteful, to murderers and marauders, rapists and the deceived.
I will vote with my dollar
I will vote locally to hold corporations locally accountable
I will motivate with my voice
I will choose unceasingly to expand my vision even when it is clouded with unspeakable horror.
I will transmute gold on earth into relief from suffering, whether this means providing my friend food when he is poor or something on a grand scale.
There is no love, but love
As so the serpent below, the serpent above.

blood before the flood,
that which wrestled Abraham still stands!

Make up your mind,
I promise you, I will treat you well.

Sit for a spell, or I'll give you hell.

Give it up to ME!
