Being Happy....
Thu, July 2, 2009 - 7:37 PMAnd why do we still live in a culture than does not recognize real happiness? A culture of cake eaters and instant gratification? And A culture that seems to not really support the slow route, the honest route? I get it. I may not live to be 100 , I should eat cake now . And drink my liver into oblivion and date guys that are flashy and shallow, right?
No thanks, I want to be Happy at 100.

I disagree
It's easier to be happy than unhappy. But the simple choice to be happy is one that isn't reinforced by the popular culture. Our entire economy is based on making people unhappy with what they have such that they will buy what you are selling, whether it's food, lifestyle, stuff, or even the latest self-help book.

Ray Bradbury described constant happiness as "flowers trying to live on flowers", which is, of course, unsatisfying. Flowers require rich black soil which is filled with loam, rot, and dead things.
In order to experience goodness, we must go through the pain and suffering which is our lot as human beings. Life is not always a bull-market boom. There are plenty of bears along the way. |

Happiness is never work.It is an evolving process. Once One loses the self-ego and truely connects with the spirit then all is bliss. happy, unhappy its all the same. We are in a major shift in the Universe (one-verse) currently and it is bringing a lot of people tapping into the creative currents that connect us all. These people are often the ones still carrying on about the economy, and people head strong in the rat race. True Knowers are still during this time, continuing to gain self wisdom and connection to the Universe. Wasted enrgy about this group and that group will run one in circles,so a new rat race is born, the rat race arguing with the original rat race.Like bubbles that eventually pop into nothingness. We are due for a evolutionary gap or jump that will leave these unattached ones behind and the Ones connected and in tune with the Universe will rise. No longer His-tory but her-story will appear. Evolutionary gaps and jumps appear in everyday but major ones can be seen from the transition from sea life to birds. there are fossils of both periods.sea creatures and birds of flight but there are not one fossil of the transition period from sea to flight.a gap, a jump. did sea creatures wish to fly and so it was done? perhaps. the same is from apes to man there is nothing found in the transition period,a gap a jump occured. so the next gap will leave many behind and a new path will be written. wisdom is found in solitude.
