Asharah (that's me) and my dance partner, Natalie Brown, teach two nights of back-to-back classes in American Tribal Style, Tribal Fusion, Jamila Salimpour-inspired format, and Suhaila Salimpour-format drills in Columbia, South Carolina. All of our classes are drop-in and structured for ALL LEVELS so join us at any time. Discounted rates available through our convenient and never-expiring class cards. Belly Dance Drills and Technique. Wednesdays, 8:15pm – 9:30pm
Join us at the Old Mill in Lexington we’ll be drilling, working, and learning hardcore technique in a fun and supportive environment. $15 drop-in, $125 for a ten class card.

Core Bellydance Fundamentals. Thursdays, 8:15pm – 9:15pm
So you want to be a bellydancer? We’re kickin’ it old school at the beautiful Gyrotonic Vista Studio and learning the fundamentals of belly dance. With a focus on safe execution of movement and muscular isolation, as well as familiarizing students with Middle Eastern music and rhythms, this class offers challenging yet accessible material for dancers of all skill levels. And I mean that – all skill levels! Bring your finger cymbals (you can come to class without cymbals – cymbals will be available for purchase in a few weeks.) $15 drop-in, $125 for a ten-class card.

Classes with Natalie Brown

American Tribal Style (ATS) Belly Dance. Wednesdays, 7:00pm - 8:00pm.
In this entry-level class, you’ll do a warm up and stretch, work on Taxim, learn a slow move from ATS slow vocabulary and a fast move from ATS fast vocabulary. If you have zils (finger cymbals), bring them, as we’ll work on zilling and dancing the last ten minutes. $10 drop-in, class is all levels.

Tribal Fusion Belly Dance. Thursdays, 7:00pm - 8:00pm
Do you want to learn the secrets to snaky, slinky tribal fusion belly dance movement? In this class, Natalie breaks down how to access and isolate muscle groups, refine movements and learn different methods of technique coming from American Tribal Style, Tribal Fusion, Suhaila Salimpour and other styles and formats of bellydance. $10 drop-in, class is all levels.
