She is a strong and powerful woman. However still brillantly feminine. She's a wonderful person if you ever get the opportunity to met her.
"I must not fear.
Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear.
I will permit it to pass over me and through me.
And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
Where the fear has gone there will be nothing.
Only I will remain."

April 30th -- Beltane by Herne
also known as Roodmas or May Day
Beltane has long been celebrated with feasts and rituals. Beltane means fire of Bel; Belinos being one name for the Sun God, whose coronation feast we now celebrate. As summer begins, weather becomes warmer, and the plant world blossoms, an exuberant mood prevails. In old Celtic traditions it was a time of unabashed sexuality and promiscuity where marriages of a year and a day could be undertaken but it is rarely obser...

MUSINGS ON CHAOS - part 1b
now that you've had some practical experience in dealing with your own energy, let's move on to dealing with those chakras a little more.
i also got this meditation from a class i took years ago from the Berkley Psychic Institute. everyone i've run this second part by has been able to do it, but they first had to understand the first meditation, to know about their chakras, again, chakra means 'wheel or vortex', & it's a center of spinning energy. Through our chakras we're able to send & receive all kinds of energy.
now we're going to build on that last exercise - so sit somewhere in a comfortable & calm place, but not so comfy that you’ll doze off. a chair is a good idea, so that you can keep your feet flat on the floor.
ground your energy, get rid of the bad, & bring back the good! remember, it's always good to be 'in your body'; you will function & feel better when you are "at home."
now that your energies are settled, we're going to work on cleaning out any blockages that may be present in your chakras. you're going to be moving your energy around your body, & balancing things out.
the meditation i was taught says that there is ‘heavy’ energy (such as earth & water, or planetary energy) & ‘light’ energy (such as air & fire, or cosmic energy). now this isn’t energy that belongs to another, like the bad energy we’ve worked on getting rid of. this is the natural elemental energies that are part of everything that exists. all beings use such energies, & i’m sure you can relate to a relaxing warm bath that soothes the stresses of the day away… we’re going to use these energies, along with our own, to help us be more balanced in life.
the chakras appear one above the other, almost as if they are on a string; they also have a top & bottom opening or port. Ttis allows energy to move up & down our chakras; where there is blockage or constriction, we might experience problems. these can range from how we feel, to how our body functions. there are also ports on the front & back of every chakra, so we’ll have 4 ports or valves to deal with…
1. keep that grounding cord in place all through this exercise. it will ground out any excess energy that you may have, & also give the blockages we’re going to remove somewhere to go to.
2. we’re going to use mostly heavy energy, because light energy can make you feel kinda light-headed/woozy if you use too much of it at one once. over time, you’ll learn the combination that feels & works best for you. for now, let’s imagine you’re going to use 9 parts heavy energy & 1 part light energy. try picturing the heavy energy as a darker color, & the light energy as a lighter color.
3. i was taught that we hold or store energy in our belly, in a large sphere . at least, that’s the simple & easy explanation & it “feels” right to most people. so picture the heavy energy going into this sphere & swirling around on the bottom portion. then bring the light energy going into the top part of the sphere. ror the moment, they stay separate; check your grounding cord to make sure it’s in place.
4. now let the 2 colors/types of energy mix, into a beautiful new color! it may not turn out to be the color that you’d typically expect from mixing your colors. it’ll be whatever it wants to be, it's beautiful, & it feels great!
5. now we’re going to take this nice happy energy & start at our first port, the root chakra. let this energy flow into the bottom port & swirl around inside. then push the energy out the front (towards your belly) port, & out the back (towards your back) ports. the first timei did this exercisei got an image of small fountains of colorful energy bursting out of my chakras! it felt wonderful to clear things out; it can almost be compared to a drain that now flows smoothly, since you got rid of that clog! once all feels clear & open, move the energy up through the top port towards the sacral chakra.
6. now is when the grounding cord is coming in real handy. it give the bad/negative energies that caused the blockages or constrictions in your chakras a place to drain away. repeat this process all the way up to the crown chakra, then just let the energies flow for a while so you can feel how things are meant to be.
7. for those of you that wish to take this a step further, there are also chakras in your hands & feet. how else do you think healers are able to do what they do, simply by touching someone? if you wish to clear these out too, let the energies run down each arm & leg one at a time, & repeat the cleansing process.
8. so once you’ve completed this with all chakras the energy should now be able to flow smoothly up & down the line of your chakras, as well as out the front & back of each port. you may also see something like a small fountains out the top of your crown chakra, & the bottom of your root chakra. now that you’re done, let the remaining mixture of heavy & light energy flow away & down the grounding cord.
do this once a week, or more often if you prefer. once you get used to how your energy was meant to flow, it’ll be easier to keep it that way. before i started doing this exercise, i had some minor health issues; they completely cleared up! that really brought the point home to me, about how intertwined energy is with us & our lives.
i hope this has helped, & please let me know if there are any questions. these exercise were essential to what comes next… there will be more lessons coming soon, which will deal with chaos, it’s nature, & how to deal with it in your life.
happy meditating!

MUSINGS ON CHAOS - part 1a
well i got a bit distracted by real life, but now back to what i started...
this is about a very simple yet effective meditation that i learned many years ago. i took a class from the Berkley Psychic Institute on meditation, & it was nicely done. everyone that i've run this meditation by has been able to do it, & it's also easy to 'personalize' for yourself. but first of all, you need to know just a bit about chakras, there are 7 basic ones on your body. chakra means 'wheel or vortex', & it's a center of spinning energy. Through our chakras we're able to send & receive all kinds of energy.
1. root (or base) chakra. the color red, earth element, sense of smell, "i want stuff", located at the tailbone. this deals with your foundations, your earliest relationships, your physical energy & vitality.
2. sacral (or splenic) chakra. the color orange, water element, sense of taste, “i desire”, located 1-2 inches below navel. this is about your friendliness, creativity, sexuality, emotions, & intuition.
3. solar plexus (or lumbar) chakra. the color yellow, fire element, sense of sight, “i want happiness”, located at the solar plexus (below the breastbone, behind the stomach). this is about your sense of personal power, skills, & aptitudes. in martial arts it is considered the center of chi.
4. heart (or dorsal) chakra. the color green, air element, sense of touch, “i want to give & receive love”, located at center of chest. this is the center of compassion, & is the most vulnerable place when you are hurt in life & love.
5. throat (or cervical) chakra. the color blue, ether element, sense of hearing, “i want to speak freely & openly”, located at base of neck. this is the center of communication & speech.
6. third eye chakra. the color indigo, electrical or telepathic energy, sense of thought, “i want to see clearly”, located between the eyebrows. this is the center of psychic powers & higher intuition. through this you can receive guidance, channel, & tune into your higher self.
7. crown (or wisdom) chakra. the color violet, cosmic energy, the “seventh” sense, “i want to be lazy”, located at crown of the head. this is about self-realization & reaching the peak experience (Samadhi) of life.
now that you know a bit about chakras, we can move on to the meditation itself.
sit somewhere in a comfortable & calm place, but not so comfy that you’ll doze off. a chair is a good idea, so that you can keep your feet flat on the floor. close your eyes & imagine a cord running from your root chakra down to the center of the earth. it can be a cord, a rope, a root, a hose, or even an elevator shaft! try different kinds out until you find what ‘feels’ best to you.
now remember that last lesson where you worked on knowing what was your energy & what wasn’t? let the energy that isn’t you drop right down that cord to be grounded out by the earth. if you tell it to go, it will; it’s not yours anyway, so why would you want to hold onto it?
now that we got rid of the “bad”, we gotta bring back the “good!” with your eyes still closed & with your grounding cord still working, think about all the times during the day that you sent your energy out from you. well now is the time to bring it home! call out to those bits of energy that you sent out during the day, & tell them to come back home. if you tell it to come, it will; it’s yours & it’s best for all of you to ‘be at home’ in your body. imagine all the bits of your energy flowing back into a big glowing ball (kind of like a small happy sun!) above your head. when you feel that all of “you” is back, then just let that happy sun melt down over you. the first time i did this, the energy felt warm & soothing, & it flowed down around/in/through me with the consistency of honey. it felt/feels great! if something that wasn’t “you” tried to sneak back in, that’s why you kept the grounding cord in place. that energy that isn’t you will just fall down to the cord & get grounded away.
i recommend doing this at least once per day. or if you have a high-stress job, you may want to do this 3 times daily. the number of times is really up to you, but it should help you feel a lot better as well as help you to learn even more about your own energy.
that’s all for part 1a, part 1b will be coming soon.

MUSINGS ON CHAOS - part 1
i've been thinking a lot lately, about Chaos & how many allow it to affect their lives. it doesn't have to be that way, in reality much of the time we are allowing Chaos to 'have it's way with us', & that just doesn't have to be.
in the past, i had several students that had some serious problems with Chaos taking them over. because i follow the path of Chaos & have worked in depth with it, i gave them some simple lessons to help them get more control over themselves & their lives. i've decided that the time has come to get those basic lessons out to others that may get benefits from it.
to start with, the most important thing is to understand who YOU really are. what your energy feels like, so that you can differentiate between the real YOU & any other kind of energy that you are dragging around, or that has hitched a ride. the easiest way is to meditate in a quiet, calm place. really get to know yourself & what your energy feels like. anything else that doesn't 'feel like you' likely isn't. you just need to know/feel the differences.
this is the first step. meditation, & lots of it. it actually can be a bit difficult at times, because your mind keeps trying to distract itself with the tasks of life, work, & anything else it can come up with. but just keep at it, because it gets easier with time. this is not usually a very quick process, so patience is a must. besides, you really want to know who you are, right? one of my favorite books, Stranger in a Strange Land, says it best. "waiting is..."
i will post a basic meditation in the next day or so, for those that need help, or for those that just want to try something different. there will be more easy lessons to come soon, with a few scientific tidbits thrown in for fun.
so again, meditation on self - what is YOU & what is not you. that's what we're looking for here... much luck to you all, & stand by for more soon!...

LEARN TO LOVE, HONOR, & CHERISH YOURSELF
"the fact is none of us is ever likely to thrive in a relationship with a suitable partner until we master the art of loving ourselves with great ingenuity. a self-wedding ritual could be the uncanny magic that attracts a worthy consort into our lives, or else rouses the sleeping potential of an intimate bond we already have." repeat these words as an affirmation of your wonderful qualities :
i love my strange beauty and amazing pain
i love my hungry soul and entertaining games
i love my flaws, my gaps, my tears
i love my mysterious, dazzling frontiers
i will never forsake, betray, or deceive myself
i will always adore, forgive, and believe in myself
i will never refuse, abandon, or scorn myself
i will always amuse, delight, and redeem myself
beauty and truth and love will always find me
chaos and wilderness will always sustain me
i'm the fire and water and earth and air that are forever fresh from eternity
i'm a perfect creation and everything alive is naturally in love with me
