Becky Stewart was a beautiful Brooklyn-based dancer whom I met many years ago in Rayhana's class. We both went on to join Ranya's Maqamikaze Dance Theater where she was not only a dancer but also a seamstress and mother of our little mascot Zander (2 years old at the time).

There aren't enough hours in a day to do everything I want to do. Even if my body could keep up with teaching, practicing and taking class for seven hours a day every single day I still wouldn't manage to do everything I feel I "need" to do. Sometimes I really recent my parents; if I had taken ballet and jazz as a child that would be two less things to worry about. I especially hate feeling so overwhelmed, when I'm like this I usually take a nap and get even less done.

I just found out that Amani of Lebanon is teaching a weekend workshop in Toronto this May. Normally this would be the best news ever and I would be the first one to sign up. Unfortunately, it's the same weekend as The East Coast Classic. I hate when I have to choose between two events I really want to attend.
