Cobb County? YOU SUCK more than Janette Eason

I was just watching the evening news, Atlanta's WXIA 11-Alive.

I was listening to them tell a story about Janette Eason - the woman (allegedly) responsible for getting so drunk out of her fucking mind that she stole her husband's truck, ran at least one stop sign, then drove it through a neighborhood around 3 o'clock in the morning taking out at least three mailboxes, a utility box, and finally driving straight someone's yard and into their house barreling into one side of the garage, coming out on the other side, then slamming straight through the living area and into a bedroom where 14-year old Elliott Savary slept - running over him and knocking down yet another wall while dragging and pushing his body clear through into the next bedroom where his 13-year old little sister Leah was sleeping.

To quote an article I found on AJC.com, "...It finally came to a stop with her pinned against an exterior wall and her brother's body underneath. A Cobb [County] fire emergency crew spent several hours extricating the teens..."


Of course, drunk / drugged up crazy bitch gets out of the truck unharmed and smoking a cigarette.


Less than 24 hours after Janette Eason slammed her car into 13-year old Leah, murdering her older brother while he slept, rendering their home uninhabitable, and forever changing the lives of the family, their friends and neighbors - Janette Eason's bond was set at $35,000 dollars which means all she has to do is put $3,500 dollars on a credit card and she gets to go home.

I can't imagine what the little girl or the parents must have gone through trying to make sense of what had just happened after being so abruptly awakened in the middle of the night... was the brother instantly killed or was he crying out before passing away while his sister lay pinned on top of him and his parents and neighbors struggled to free the children before emergency crews arrived?


I'd like to know WHY it is o.k. to set a bond in the first place in a case like this and secondly - WHY SO LOW? She will NOT get out of this - she faces 1st degree vehicular homicide and a long list of other charges... what's her incentive to stick around and wait to be sentenced to life?

YOU SUCK COBB COUNTY.

ROAD TRIP 2008 - Gambling in Biloxi, Mississippi

I'm in Biloxi this week! Haven't been there since before Katrina and I'm very interested in seeing how everything's changed. And of course, looking forward to a 2 or 3 day Vay-Cay with me and Dr. B. Very excited to play roulette, black jack, slots, and maybe even poker this time! WOOT!

Please call (706) 439-6066 if you have any information about missing University of Georgia graduate and fellow North Georgia hiker, 24 year old Meredith Hope Emerson.

Meredith is an athletic, experienced hiker and has a blue belt in martial arts. She is a white, blonde, woman, stands 5-foot-4, and weighs 120-pounds. She was last seen on BLOOD MOUNTAIN located in UNION COUNTY, Georgia on Tuesday, January 1st.

She left a note for her roommate explaining that she went hiking with her black Labrador retriever, Ella.
Meredith is originally from Colorado.

A PERSON OF INTEREST HAS BEEN IDENTIFIED

A 61 year-old white man, identified as Gary Michael Hilton (approximately 5-foot-10, 160 pounds with grey / white/ or silver hair and having either bad or no teeth) was last seen with Meredith along Freeman Trail on Blood Mountain inside VOGEL STATE PARK. He was wearing a yellow jacket with a large, older backpack and had a sheath of some sorts attached to one leg.

On multiple occasions, Hilton and Meredith were seen talking together by several eyewitnesses on Tuesday, January 1st and were also reported to have been letting their dogs play together. Hilton was seen with his own dog, believed to be a "reddish" colored Retriever, most likely going by the name of Dandy (or possibly Danny).

Hilton has two white, Chevrolet Astro minivans both registered in DEKALB COUNTY even though Hilton is not believed to live in DeKalb County according to Union Country Sheriff's investigator, Kimberly Verdone.

Police say Hilton was last spotted driving a white Chevy Astro minivan.

He is registered as owning TWO WHITE, CHEVY ASTRO MINIVANS. He has a 2001 model with the license plate number AFQ 1310 and a 1996 model with license plate number 76 APZ.
