Sweet!
But isn't it a bit too small to have to worry about weight? |

It is a 1928 Chevy...
Any truck regardless of its size is now considered commercial by the state of california... good and bad... The good about it is that I get to see trucks like this on occasion! |

"Any truck regardless of its size "
So that means even little sport pickups, like my father's Chevy S-10, or tiny Uhaul rentals have to stop at scales now? |

The truth is that pick up trucks have always had to have commercial registration tags, unless they had a camper welded to the frame. I know this from having had a little Toyota truck in the '80s. They had to have insurance as commercial vehicles, also. Whether or not the insurance agents were honest enough to tell you that was another matter. That's why pick up truck plates aren't numbered the same way as car plates. Don't you feel enlightened?
But trucks under a certain weight haven't been required to stop at scales on any regular basis, in the past. |
