I think I'm coddled by the tribe community being nicer than most (why is that I wonder?) but it shocked me to the point that it was more amusing than anything. But...um... wow. I responded and I'm kind of curious as to what she'll say back!

I went and checked her site out. I'll be mean, I have no problems with that. :) I get the same shit sometimes with my stuff.
People say nasty shit for the pure fun of it and for an ego boost. Especially if they find someone with a talent. Here is what I have to say after looking at her: "She fell off the ugly tree and hit every branch on the way down." ;) |

hey, just had to put in my input....the person that said such a hateful statement is just a person that is very closed minded and has no idea to what a belly dancer is or why they dance. The picture is beautiful and the costume is awesome. Don't let a closed minded person put you in a place that they are in. Your beautiful and talanted. They can't take that from you.....

That comment did seem unnecessary!
(Shaking my head.) I'm glad you are able to think of it as amusing. I know some people who would have been devastated by the snarky comment. And I don't see anything wrong with how you look as a model for this costume. By the way, I think the outfit is cute! I really like the belt, in particular!

Umm, that person did not need to say that. It doesn't matter what the model looks like OMG you are buying the item for yourself! So dumb, I think you look enchanting in all of your photos! Holy crap this is a business not a fashion magazine! I can't wait to hear what this person has to say back.

after reading the entire thing, i've gotta say that keropine lady still didn't say anything constructive. as you said, you were showcasing COSTUMES, not the model nor the photography style. comments like hers should be limited to portfolios of people that want to be models and ask "how's my modeling?"
whatever, dude. as the old adage says, "if you can't say anything nice (or, in this case, relevent), shut the fuck up". savy ps the outfit's adorable. i'm WAAAY too chunky for something that tiny, but adorable nonetheless... |
