gloria and i were in our school counselor's office today, talking about growth in our relationships and our spiritual paths. we formulated the above wisdom, "sometimes instead of using a comma, you just need to use a period. it takes a period to start a new chapter."

it's like sometimes we just drag on a relationship that isn't serving us. we break up and we make up, and we get nowhere. why not put an end to it all and "get on the good foot" as james brown would say? well, sometimes we get stuck in these cycles and it's hard to tell whether we're in it to learn some deep lesson or we're just too stupid to get out. one word summed the solution up for us: surrender. often times, trying to force the situation or racking our brains trying to rationalize it just makes things worst. so surrendering to our path is the best thing we can do. from a grounded place of integrity, we take situations for what they are, and we do our best to learn from them.

beware! our egos might try to block us from surrendering, because the ego knows how rewarding it is for our true selves to surrender... so be heartful of the ways the ego tries to distort the truth!

I chose to surrender. I surrender!
