Like George W. Bush, I'm an optimist. I like focusing on what I want to happen rather than what I fear won't. Unlike George W. Bush, I plan appropriately *before* starting a pre-emptive war in countries that hate us. Planning, in general, is something I'm pretty good at and enjoy. I'm looking forward to having Bush out of office. Whether it's McCain, Obama, or Clinton who gets the job, our country will be better off after Inauguration Day.

I want to fix things in the world. Broken dysfunctional stuff bother me greatly and inspire me to get involved. Sadly, time is by greatest restraint in changing and improving all of the things that need fixing. So, my primary issues of action are: comprehensive sex ed. in public schools, the foster care system, and public education in general.

Knitting is addictive. I warn those of you who are contemplating knitting yourself a hat or a scarf, be prepared to be consumed by this hobby and find yourself with a corner in your living room filled with yarn and needles and knitting books.

I'm a big fan of hugs and kisses. Physical contact in general is just wonderful and I love skin so very much. Naked cuddling is undervalued in this country.

I enjoy people. Although I tend to be more introverted by nature, I still enjoy spending time with friends and good company in general.

Camping is fun too. Only got to go camping twice last summer but still had a blast both times.

I find more and more that I love projects. Be it knitting a cardigan for my mother or making etched copper ornaments for Christmas with my boyfriend, or fixing broken systems (like the foster care system) or sewing my own curtains, I really enjoy having an idea, forming a plan, and getting it done. One of my next projects: Organizing a Steampunk party at my community center. :)

I believe most people look better in glasses.

It's a shame that you can't choose your orientation. If I could choose, I think I'd pick being bi.

I'm a part-time hedonist. I'm lactose intolerant. I'm allergic to latex. And...I'm a happy drunk.

Things I hate: shopping, the current administration, seafood, eggs, rude people (including those who don't signal), missing the bus, missing a new episode of Mythbusters, jewelry commercials (not every woman just wants diamonds), strong perfumes and colognes, and Hummers.

Things I love: pretty wrapping paper, Asian teapots, playing with kittens, the Seattle Public Library system, shoulder rubs, alpaca yarn, making out, and ice cream.

Also, I've been seriously considering becoming a foster parent someday.
