Beautiful. Brilliant. Some people say to other people "oh, you're going places, baby", but they have no fucking clue how far THIS girl is going to go. She's probably going to rule the world. And I'm gonna be her Monica. ;)

Avens is like the night, mysterious and beautiful in her darkness. Her pale light leads you down dim tree lined trails. She is the beauty and cunning of the wolves howling at the moon speaking of a time before man and fire.

See that look, in that picture?
She looks innocent and naive, doesn't she? Well, it's a bold-faced lie. She's smart, she's capable, she's clever and wicked, she's hot, and while she could force you to your knees and make you crawl, she won't, cause she's not into that sort of thing. ;) June 29, 2006
This fine young women is the holder of
unheard of potential...it's there for the harnessing. Her poetry is unbelievable; maybe she'll share some with you. You would be lucky to get to know her as well as I do. And I count my pagan blessings everyday that I do.

about me
I am a lover of words.
I am a dreamer of possibilities. I am a maker of lists. I am a keeper of secrets. I am a mother of the rescued. I am a friend of the found. I am a sister of the hopeless. I am a guide of the lost. I am a student of the trees. I am a daughter of the fire. I am made of the light of the sun and stay when it is gone to warm the dark places where it is needed. I am love. -www.practicallyfamous.com - (personal website) -www.myspace.com/losemydesideratum - (obligatory myspace) -practicallyfame.livejournal.com (livejournal) -www.darkpoetry.com/dp/2074 - (crappy poetry) -avens.deviantart.com - (artwork)

Once upon a time there was a beautiful girl named Jezebel, who lived in the enchanted city of Bostonia. She was a pretty girl, with long, flowing dark hair and a body graceful as a cat, with the ability to move subtle and seamless as a serpent.

She was part of a gypsy tribe in the Forest of the Hills just outside the enchanted city. Her family were inspired people, making art, and playing music and games, drinking fine wine and dancing the special Boom-Bah dance. The women of the Tribe were famous for their Boom-Bah dancing, the movements of which inspired and were inspired by the drumbeats of the men, the heart beats of the Tribe. The gypsies lived in a beautiful old Tower, led by The Friar, who was one of the wisest and most generous men in all the land. The gypsies, especially Jezebel, thrived in their music and dancing and merriment, and often entertained both common folk and kings with their beautiful music and movements. Folk from far away asked for the gypsy women to bless their Chapel with their Boom-Bah dance. As the gypsy tribe ventured to the new city of Yorke, they were stunned by the beauty of the Chapel, but none more so than Jezebel. There was art and mirrors in the Chapel, art that depicted the muscles of the body, and when she glimpsed herself in the mirrors, her muscles tingled and her body sang out in worship of this sacred beauty. The caretakers of the Chapel felt the passion of the Boom-Bah dancing, and asked Jezebel to stay with them and bring the Boom-Bah to their Chapel. Jezebel said she needed to ask her Tribe, and returned to Bostonia and the Forest of the Hills with them, promising to send word as to her decision. As she returned home, she was comforted by her family, her familiarity, but yet the Chapel sang to her across the distance. She was intoxicated by opportunity. What to do? She had so much love here, so much joy. But here was a chance to bring the Boom-Bah to others. What to do? She fretted, which choice should she make? Should she stay in comfort and love, or venture to possibilities unknown? The women of her Tribe gathered for a dance, and they danced their most beautiful dance. The sway of their hips stirred the air, and a wind howled through the Hills, whistling through the Forest leaves. The drums rumbled, giving the Earth her own heartbeat. The gypsies called up a storm that swirled their senses, to bring inspiration and knowledge and direction for their young Jezebel. She meditated in that storm, and called upon the Goddess Mia Donna. Mia Donna was the daughter of the Boom-Bah itself. "Oh, great Mia Donna..." Jezebel cried, "what to do...? such passion and love where I remain, yet so much possibility out there, and I feel the great Spirit in the Chapel..." Mia Donna danced upon the surface of the Moon, dancing a dance for Jezebel, a dance that reaffirmed the warmth of home and revisited all that Jezebel loved of her sacred Forest, of her enchanted Bostonia, of her family and her roots. But the beat of the Boom-Bah transcends space and time. The beat of the Boom-Bah loosens the dirt at the root of the tree and moves the soil. The beat of the Boom-Bah makes even the tallest, strongest tree want to uproot and dance. And we are less deeply rooted than trees. We can get up and move to the beat of the Boom-Bah. We can dance away from the Boom-Bah, and return to the Boom-Bah. We can take the Boom-Bah with us. "So," Mia Donna danced, "Sister, you must journey far and venture to other possibilities, and bring the Boom-Bah to that which hasn't been stirred and shaken, that which hasn't been moved. You must be the Boom-Bah, and when you dance the Boom-Bah, your Tribe will feel the Boom-Bah and dance it right back to you..." The Boom-Bah is one heart, one blood, one pulse that space cannot separate. And so, Jezebel began to dance her best Boom-Bah. And the Tribe danced the Boom-Bah. And they sent her to the Chapel to bring the Boom-Bah there. Boom-Bah. Boom-Bah. Boom-Bah. Avens O'Brien January 9th, 2008 Dedicated to Ms. Sarah "Jezebel" Wood.
