hot damn, i had an awesome time! despite the rain and losing one of my favorite earings, this year was great. i didn't get as crazy as i have in past years, but i'm not as hurtin right now as i have been in past years...so it's probably for the best. the highlight for me was 'sleazy sunday', when i dressed as a man an hit on every girl i saw. so much fun~!
having the rv made the week extra enjoyable, i never saw the inside of an outhouse, we stayed dry when it rained and i bought lotsa new c... read more

i went to vancouver this weekend to see my best friend lo and to paint faces at a fundraiser for the little boy she nannies, trey. it was so nice to meet her new family and to be a part of raising awareness for his unfortunate condition. it made me think of how lucky i am that shilo is just mentally challenged and hasn't had alot of medical problems. the event was super fun, connell even showed up to hang out. the kids were so serious while i painted their faces, but once they saw themselves ... read more

1. Grab the nearest book

2. Open the book to page 28

3. Find the 3rd sentence and post it here.

4. Do not look for your favorite book, the cool book, or the intellectual one: pick the CLOSEST book.

Bonnie June McEwen
January 21, 1948 - March 14, 2008

It is with sadness and regret that we announce the passing of Bonnie McEwen, at the age of 60, from complications due to cancer.
She passed away on Friday March 14 in Nelson. She leaves behind many people who loved her greatly; 5 children, 8 grandchildren, her father, three sisters, nieces, nephews, sons-in-laws, daughter-in-law, brother-in-laws and many friends young and old. She valued many different

6lbs 10oz, a beautiful healthy baby boy, mother and babe are healthy and have my brother so in love and happy.
and also the death of my wonderful mother ~Bonnie June McEwen~, who was the best mother a girl could ever ask for and the best mentor a mother could ever have. i am so saddened by her passing, but i'm glad her suffering is over.

time with my mum has become very very precious. i will be staying in town and i will have no internet, so i won't be around much at all.
to my kootenay folk, i will have my cell, but text messages will be better than calls.
i know my friends are awesome, so supportive and love me tons, but i would rather if you didn't respond to this blog, i'm trying not to break down every five seconds....just wanted you to know what's is going on.

Say say my playmate
wont you lay hands on me
mirror my malady
transfer my tragedy

Got a curse i cannot lift
shines when the sunset shifts
when the moon is round and full
gotta bust that box gotta gut that fish

My mind's aflame

We could jet in a stolen car
but i bet we wouldnt get too far
before the transformation takes
and bloodlust tanks and
crave gets slaked

My mind has changed
my bodys frame but god i like it
my hearts aflame
my bodys strained but god i like it

yesterday alex and i celebrated our sixth wedding anniversary. i'm rather impressed with myself, i went from the girl who couldn't keep a partner for much more than 3 months to being happily married for 6 years. and wow, how we've changed in that time! i was still going to art school, we were still renting, we had a shitty little tercel from my nana and alex was workin driving taxi.....now, i've made a pretty good name for myself as an artist in the community, we own our home and a nice mini-... read more

People with this much artistic talent should breed. I'm not offering... just saying.

This lovely lady has likely no idea how much she inspires me, nor how each of her fabulous creations feed my soul and give me strength to survive until my own brushes touch canvas again.

If I rarely comment on each new work of art, it is only that appropriate words fail me and I choose to simply revel in the colors, curves and wicked delights she gives labored birth to repeatedly, never ceasing to capture new nymphs and bring them to life with swirls of paint.

She is a creator of beauty and strength; a variety show of vivid visions that sin, love, laugh, hurt, cry and FEEL; posing for us, allowing a glimpse that we mere mortals may feast upon; mouths and nether regions moist; imaginations run adrift as we lose ourselves in those incredible eyes...

"Fox" is a fox with a pretty box, who's really good at folding sox, and to my knowledge never had "The Pox".
She's real nice, and she don't throw rocks.

Also: I love her paintings.

Avrell has really inspired me......her artwork is amazing. Plus, she gave me some of the kindest words for finding my inner artist. Baby steps though....you will be proud. :) LOL
I started doing shadowboxes...maybe one day I will pick up the {{brush}}.

My land is bare of chattering folk;
the clouds are low along the ridges,
and sweet's the air with curly smoke
from all my burning bridges.

On the floating, shapeless oceans
I did all my best to smile
til your singing eyes and fingers
drew me loving into your eyes.

And you sang "Sail to me, sail to me;
Let me enfold you."

Here I am, here I am waiting to hold you.
Did I dream you dreamed about me?
Were you here when I was full sail?

Now my foolish boat is leaning, broken love lost on your shore.
For you sang, "Touch me not, touch me not, come back tomorrow."
Oh my heart, oh my heart shies from the sorrow.
I'm as puzzled as a newborn child.
I'm as riddled as the tide.
Should I stand amid the breakers?
Or shall I lie with death my bride?

Hear me sing: "Swim to me, swim to me, let me enfold you."
"Here I am. Here I am, waiting to hold you."

"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.
It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us.
We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant,
gorgeous, talented, fabulous?
Actually, who are you not to be?
You are a child of (god).
Your playing small does not serve the world.
There is nothing enlightened about shrinking
so that other people won't feel insecure around you.
We are all meant to shine, as children do.
We were born to make manifest the glory of (god) that is within us.
It is not just in some of us; it is in everyone.
And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously
give other people permission to do the same.
As we are liberated from our own fear,
our presence automatically liberates others."
