Well, it's been a fun weekend, but today I head home from Dallas.

I took Dr. Mo's and Fifi's workshops yesterday... I really love Dr. Mo. His choreo is great, but beyond that he emphasizes adding your own personal style to basic moves, and teaches what I would call dance composition... I equate it to music because it rather is like that. It's not just technique, or how to execute a move... it's how to take those moves and build on them as the foundation. I like the choreo portion as well, because it lets me understand how he hears music... and I like the way he interprets what he hears. I was able to get into his head a little, which made remembering the choreography through the day easy.

Fifi's class was very different... she's such a larger than life personality. She was showing her style of movement, conveying emotion, etc. It was fun! She's a strong dancer, which I like...she uses that power on stage to command attention, and refuses to soft pedal anything. It's pretty cool. LOL

So, this morning, I'm packing up for the drive home. My biggest disappointment this weekend... I haven't been able to find a costume to buy, which I REALLY wanted to do!!! That SUCKS!!!
