Pansies a fun, I also like Viola's... In our back yard we had years ago, viola's erupted every where... thousands of the little Pansie like flowers... We had lived there for several years and never had planted them before and they just appeared out of the blue... In the flower beds and the lawn even the pots on the patio had them... A couple of years Later I found out one of the seed brokers that my drivers hauled sacks of seed for, had Viola seeds for one of our local growers and a driver on one of his loads had a broken bag of seed so he scooped them up then threw them over the fence in the back yard as a prank... what color we had for several more years then they stopped reseeding and were gone....

my very first memory of pansies
(and morning glories)
is manhattan beach
i was just a wee schoolgirl
and i would greet a massive wall of them
every morning
as i made my way up the hilly street
to the bus
