My life so far:

about me
In Cario there is a saying:
"Every girl is born a dancer."

I started dancing late in March of 2006 and now I can't imagine my life without it!
I further explore my creativity by crocheting or writing. I still harbor not so secrete dreams of becoming a best selling writer. Or playwrite. Currently, I have a book of poems that I put together myself, and several short stories in various stages of being "finished." I also have a first, and extremely rough, draft of not one, but two plays, and have a vague idea for a third.
At one time, I dabled a bit in the theater: overseeing the props on several productions and even stage managing once.
I enjoy helping the non-profit organization I belong to and researching family stories.
Some time, I would like to take lessons in Celtic style dancing as some of my ancestry is Irish.
Enjoy~

This is absurd! (blog entry) Okay, I have so far resisted the urge to turn my Tribe space into a personal soap box about how I think the world should be, but I came across this article earlier and had to comment.

What I'm thinking

One year ago, Greensburg, Kansas looked like this.

In a inspirational story of how good things can come from tragedy, the town is rebuilding. They are not just rebuidling, however. They are rebuilding in a big way. They are taking their time. Instead of just rebuilding as fast as possible and putting everything just as it was before, they are rebuilding "green." Wind turbines and solar panals now are starting to sprout. I even heard that at least one large aquduct is planned to ... read more

I was told last night that there is a new billboard around town. Two of the other officers in my local support group managed to get space donated for publicity. As I understand it, it will be up through the summer, but will be moved from location to location as space is available.
I was pleased - this will go a long way for our cause of creating awareness, education and fostering suppor... read more

It seems that the Topeka, Kansas based Westboro Baptist church - the same church known for picketing the funerals of fallen soldiers - is now planning on protesting and picketing the services for actor Heath Ledger.

Why?

Because of the whole Brokeback Mountain thing.
