I took my cyclecross bike out for some serious trail riding this weekend. This was my first time doing such technical off-road riding and the first time I'd taken this particular bike off-road. Cross bikes have a road bike geometry (think drop bars, big wheels, relatively skinny tires and high gearing) for a certain type of off-road racing where there are long flattish stretches with minimal obstacles so you can go like hell, and for the really tough stuff the bike is light and easy to thr... read more

I've been traveling more-or-less continuously since the Fire Mountain event (Memorial Day weekend). I took lots of amazing pictures, which I transfered to my GoBookIII laptop hard drive. This past weekend was a big wedding (big in the sense I was in the wedding party) and I didn't have a chance to deal with backing up the laptop or otherwise transferring pictures.
