About Jean Yanagawa

With over 25 years of Middle Eastern belly dance experience, with more than half that time as an instructor with the Honolulu Club, Moiliili Community Center, and Kaimuki Community School for Adults, Dept. of Education, State of Hawai`i.

"Jean Yanagawa" uses Salimpour Technique© as the foundational groundwork for integrating Contemporary Modern Egyptian moves and techniques. Novices work on mastering clearly defined technique/movements and finger cymbals; while advance work includes complex layering, movements, finger cymbals, veil, group and choreography/performances.

Let's Bellydance!!!

Masayo Loyd conducts Middle Eastern Bellydance class in both Japanese and English. Born and raised in Japan, Masayo is a troupe member of "BellyDance 808 Hawaii Raks" that is directed and produced by Jean Yanagawa (check the link at left)

You will learn:
Traditional and modern Egyptian moves and techniques with Zill (finger cymbals) and veil.

What to wear?
*Comfortable workout clothes.
*You can dance with barefoot or with dance sandals/soft sole dance shoes.

What to bring?
*Zill(finger cymbals) - If you don’t have them, it is available for purchase ($14 cash only).
*Veil – If you don’t have a veil for bellydance, just come to the class. The instructor will explain in the class.
*water, towel

日英両語によるベリーダンスレッスンです。エジプシャンスタイルを中心としたベリーダンスを基礎からじっくり学びます。
ジル（Zill/フィンガーシンバル）、ベールを使った動きも身につけます。

服装：
動きやすい服装。ダンスサンダルやバレーシューズ着用もOKです。

持ち物：
*ジル（フィンガーシンバル）を学びます。ジルをお持ちでない方には購入して頂きますので、1セット14ドル（現金）を別途ご用意ください。
*ベール（ベリーダンス用のベールをお持ちでない方は、レッスン中にご説明しますので、そのままお越しください）
