It really inspired me not to just treat bellydance as a hobby or treat it as something I occasionally like to participate in but to actually focus on getting better and better and really progress...no matter what the cost. We started off with a long warm up and then shook our rumps to start off with to some 80's classics that got me good and warm. The way it worked was her showing me the basic moves me doing them and then moving on to the next. ... read more

I'm here because of my friends and also because of my new found passion for belly dance. I find it a difficult, challenging hobbie, but also something that is incredibly powerful, sensual and completely addictive. I like the movements/techniques, the BD community, the History and roots, as well as the dance itself. I have been most drawn to the Tribal style and I am enjoying learning more about it; in particular it's contributors and the intricate choreography of the different tribes.
