What I'm thinking right now...
Phew!
It took almost 5 months to make all of this happen. I'm definitely proud of it and think it's by far the best lineup we've put together yet. I know there's a bunch of stuff on here that a lot of people don't recognize, but we wouldn't have chosen it if we didn't think it deserved people's attention. Hopefully everyone likes the way it sounds.. . I personally think it's all badass! We've been working hard...
To throw an event with high quality entertainment and an environment that only The Do LaB can pull off! Please enjoy:

A different path!
7 years ago my girlfriend asked me to go check out this thing in the desert called Burning Man (Thanks KJ!). She said everyone set up camps in the dirt and wore costumes the whole time and it was like a big rave. Costumes!!! I wasn't going to wear any costumes... Boy did I feel stupid. I've been every year since and I can truly say it has changed my life. My closest friends and family devoted ourselves to art and the idea of creation, probably to the point of addiction. We've been a part of performance troups, bands, circus's, art installations, art cars and have worked on a multitude of events and festivals. We've been broke, we've made money, we've gotten our hands dirty with our friends and we've had a blast..But sadly (and excitingly) we are being called to try something new this year and take our art around the world to show others what we have been so fortunate to be a part of for many years. Hopefully what we are really doing is planting seeds for young inspired people to start creating on their own. That's the goal anyway...
So yes, we will not be at Burning Man this year. The first time since it changed my life and I am sad. But instead we will be going to Japan and Ireland to set up our creations at 2 huge festivals and to show the rest of the world what our community is up to here in California. Life is changing, we're taking a different path, we'll be at Burning Man next year...
Konichiwa motherfuckers!

I'm off to Tokyo in the morning...
On Do LaB business.. I never imagined that our little project would take us around the world, but this summer we'll be heading to Tokyo and then Ireland to set up art installations at large festivals. Crazy! If anyone has any advice on Tokyo I'd love to hear it. I know 2 words in Japanese. : )
