Marco is a man I’ve never met in person but have had the benefit of chatting and talking with him heart-to-heart. He is the very foundation of what I love in people. He gives without expecting something in return. He gives from the heart and does so selflessly.

I will never forget a time in the most recent past a couple of young friends who are very dear to me are close to death. My heart was heavy with grief as they were on the Mainland and I live 6 hours away in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. These two are very young people who are dying of Aids and Hep C. They didn’t do anything wrong but weren’t as careful with their sexual preferences as they should have been and now this is the end of their life. Had their wild appetite and sexual desires been in the 60’s this most likely would not have happened. I talked with Marco about this tragedy and many other things in life that meant something to him and me and found many things that we both held sacred.

It is heart rendering to know that there are still genuine people who really care. He listened to me with all his heart and asked a simple question, “What can I do to help”? Too bad Mr. Bush can’t get the hate out of his heart long enough to ask the American people what he can do to help instead of killing people he could be using our tax dollars to save people not kill them.

Very few friends asked that question yet Marco, a complete stranger, reached out to me in my time of need and gave me a shoulder to lean on and much more, Marco gave me hope.

Bless you Marco for you are one of the finest people I’ve ever had the privilege to meet. I would do anything possible for him as he is wonderful and a caring and most sincere person.

I’ve known many people in my life who will give but have expectations and never let you forget the time they gave you something be it a word of advice or something more concrete. Marco is not one of those types of people. Marco is the closest thing on earth to an angel.

God Bless you and your friends and family may they keep you safe and appreciate your greatness. You will forever more be an angel to me Marco.

Marco Antonio Alvarez, mi amor, mi dulce'. One of the most genuine men I have ever met. Horribly funny, rediculously brilliant, and honorably intellegent. His intensity in all aspects of life, embody his understanding of being, and what it mean to be a real person. When you can discern when he's being serious & when he is joking, you can just begin to understand the complexity of this man's mind. And trust me, it's worth the horrifying comedy, for hours of groveling in laughter :)
