...or has Stark's list become more of a non-profit calendar of events? Every weekend for the last three months or so (this shit all began after Katrina) it's gotten bad. Maybe I don't *want* to help raise money for some grassroots organization I've never heard of before. Maybe I don't *agree* with some organizations I do know about. Maybe the money never gets to the intended charity? Come on, wise up.

I think belly dancing has finally reached the pop culture level. My boy and I decided this over tacos while distractedly watching three music videos in a ROW that featured belly-esque moves. Shakira? Great, hot, and has really (as of late) impressed me with her technical progress. The hoochies spazzing out to some wanksta's latest ass-tastic song? Please stop, it hurts to watch.

Man. Back in Birmingham (AL) I had a BLAST with my pallies. I had a month-long gig at Sloss Fright Furnace, where I was paid to dress up like a sexy freak and play with fire. It got stale sometimes when the crowd was boring, but I was with my best friend, thus happy. Another one of my friends throws a party every Halloween-- that must be happening tonight, I bet.

Word of the moment is that terrorists might strike our subways by packing a baby carriage with heavy explosives. Now. I just have a few questions...

1. Would there be a baby in the carriage? (I'm just wondering how real they want to make this, you know.) 2. Would said baby be more effective if its diaper was packed with explosives? 3. If the baby goes down, would it be considered a terrorist or an innocent victim? 4. Would this new, alleged threat in any way discourage subway passe... read more
