Update (3/11/08); I'm holding SFO-NRT, ITM-SFO Wed 5/13 - Wed 5/28 (3 extra days on either side) with AA for 65,000 miles + $40.10 taxes - until 3/25 11:59 pm PT.

There were no SFO-NRT flights on 5/16, and no KIX returns 5/24-5/27...

- Tokyo, Hakone, Mount Fuji, Hot Sea, Kyoto, Nara, Osaka, Kobe, Biwako
- It's actually only 6 days of touring plus an evening dinner & a breakfast. $225/day.
- Seems like a better deal than the "6-day tour" which only has 3 days of travel.

- The nine day tour starts in Tokyo, but ends in Osaka.
- Need tickets CLE-NRT, OSA/KIX/?-CLE
1) Leaving CLE 5/16/08, arriving NRT 5/17 preferably in the morning or afternoon. People will meet for dinner, but the tour won't start until 5/18.
2) Leaving OSA/KIX/?? (Osaka seems to have 3+ airports) 5/24/08 2 pm or later (Earlier flights might be possible if they skip breakfast).

Singapore Airlines First Class tickets CLE-NRT are $14,917 each.
- United award tickets for 120,000 miles + ? tax
- Currently United says no awards for Singapore seats (probably LAX-NRT) in business or first class
- We might have to do a shuffle (like with the AA CLE-SHA/PVG tickets), where we book other days & switch later. What are the UA award change fees?

China Airlines coach CLE-NRT $1,367.
1) Maybe book flights thru travel agency LAX-NRT ($400 + ~$215 tax)
and use award ticket CLE-LAX (25,000 miles + ~$10 tax)
2) Or wait for sales in the first week of January
3) American awards are 65,000 miles + $45.30 tax
