Phew.. finally back in good 'ol CA. I have been out and about running around the U.S. for the last few weeks. We really do have such a beautiful country, full of diversity and wonderful things.

Can I just say... that Lightning Bugs are the COOLEST!! I had never seen them until recently. I could watch them for hours. My cross-country jaunt ended in Indiana near Purdue University. It was so green. I have heard so much about how boring the Midwest is, but I really disagree. Compared to the dingy corroding facade of L.A. city life seeing the farm areas was like being in a dreamscape. Admittedly the pace of life there seems slow and measured, but honestly is that so bad?

So, whoever gave the Mid West such a bad rap needs a good kick in the junk.
