My Testimonials

November 11, 2007
Where to start? KT is beyond awesome in so many ways...she is an amazing dancer with skills the like of which I someday hope to possess. She can be lithe and sinuous or crisp and articulate depending upon the music and mood which she wants to convey. She is a naturalist, taking inspiration from the untamed wilds and sharing those wonders with the rest of us. I just recently had the chance to take a workshop with her and her teaching skills are wonderful, instructing a large group of women with varying levels of experience and reaching everyone. As an added bonus, I can now say that I am amongst the very select group of women who have gotten into KT's pants! Yay for secondhand Melos with an illustrious past and a double yay with zaghareet sprinkles on top for KT herself.

Katie is a rabble-rouser.

If large numbers of otherwise rational people are whooping, stomping, dancing, hoisting their comrades up on chairs and furiously clapping, then Katie must be nearby.

Katie is AWESOME.
Multi-faceted, multi-talented, multi-lingual?

Your first testimonial.... lessee...
Katie is cool under pressure, hilarious but not in your face about it...deliciously sinister....awesome to work with...has a style all her own....works well with others (but i can totally see her being queen of her own sandbox)...does amazing henna, beautiful sketches, digs guinea pigs, and takes phenominal photographs of nature.

Also, she is deliciously evil, can dance up a storm, plans one hell of a hafla and has a neat car.

Katie Rocks.

Cabinet of Curiosities

"For in my opinion, the most ordinary things, the most common and familiar, if we could see them in their true light, would turn out to be the grandest miracles of nature and the most marvelous examples, especially as regards the subject of the action of men."
Michel de Montaigne (1533–1592)

Jellydancing !

an interesting phenomenon in language acquisition is that, when in a French-speaking country, if someone speaks to me I automatically reply in Spanish, since I basically have no speaking French at all. Si! I mean... Oui!
I can get by reading, however.

Now I can also say "I am a grapefruit" (je suis un pampelmuse!)

I had this raspberry and pistachio creme shortbread in Paris the other day and it was awesome.
