Tim(my) is one of the kindest, sweetest and funniest guys around. A heart as big as Alaska, I have a sneaking suspicion he is the cause of Global Warming. It is important that we never send him to the South Pole... Besides, we would miss him too much! Keep spreading that love around, Tim(my), and thank you for being such a good friend. Love you! XOXOXO G

My Events

March 16th! Calling ALL Musicians! Calling ALL Musicians! (events » live music) Sunday, March 16, 2008 - 5:00 PM Patti Danger, and the "Back Seat Drivers" will be hosting the Sunday Jam session at the VFW Post 1685 in Spenard from 5-8pm. We'll be playing some "Trashy" Rock-A-Billy blues, lost classics, and blues from the swamp with a back beat so wide you could fall in! The VFW is located at 1200 W 33rd, and Spenard Road. You can call them for directions, and questions at 562-1685. You "DO NOT" need to be a member to get in! Just say you're here to play, or listen to the music, and sign in at the bar! Ask them to have Tim sign you in as his guest if needed. I'll be the drummer that evening. That's it! Bring your instrument, and let's ROCK! Hope to see YOU here!

about me
I usually spend my time listening to, playing, and enjoying all kinds of music. I like to refurbish vintage drum sets, I travel as often as possible, and attempt to capture just the right digital photographs, I love to cook, and I entertain often at my house. My style leans towards ecIectic for friends, and in design. I appreciate many forms of art, but I'd much rather be creating it. Some other interests include going shooting at the range, driving my old(er) convertible, learning more Spanish, enjoying sunny days on my back deck, and doing home improvements...

Should you be happy? I thought about that since a tree fell on my house today. I'm happy to not be crushed! I'm happy the damage is less severe than it could have been. I'm happy it fell on my house not the neighbors house since it sets on my property. Soooooo I spoze yes, I can be happy. NOW the work begins with the removal. Anyway wishing you ALL the very BEST!

Love Ya!

Mark your calendar: The best meteor shower of 2007 peaks on Friday, December 14th.

"It's the Geminid meteor shower," says NASA astronomer Bill Cooke of the Marshall Space Flight Center. "Start watching on Thursday evening, Dec. 13th, around 10 pm local time," he advises. "At first you might not see very many meteors—but be patient. The show really heats up after midnight and by dawn on Friday, Dec. 14th, there could be dozens of bright meteors per hour streaking across the sky."The Gemini... read more

I'm OK! We're use to it here. A 5.01 magnitude earthquake rocks the Cook Inlet region of South Central Alaska at 2:57 PM Alaska Standard Time today. The large orange square represents the magnitude, and location. The larger the square the larger the quake. All the stuff in the house started shaking. It always reminds me of being in the 1964 Alaska quake. That was really an amazing geological event to be involved in. Peace, and Love to ALL! Tim(my)

Tonight... Cloudy with isolated snow showers. Lows in the upper 20s. Southeast wind 10 to 25 mph with gusts to 50 mph along Turnagain Arm and higher elevations in the evening. Have a wonderful night, sleep tight, and wake up feeling rested. Be good to yourself, and be good to others.

A friend of a friend is an expert horticulturist. He had this to say about this mushroom from my back yard. It's weird, cool, and gross! You've been warned!

"The mushrooms in your picture are a species that
is officially called Aminita muscaria and the common name is Fly
Agaric. They are hallucinogenic in a poisonous kind of way so DON'T
eat them. They are exceptionally beautiful and are an indicator
species for some very choice edibles so if you find some other
mushrooms growing... read more

The pond in my back yard is an amazing place. This shot of a Cow Moose, and her twin's was taken last fall in my yard. Behind the Lilac bush is a small natural pond. I live on the west edge of the city, but the pond play's host to so much wildlife. Today the Muskrat came back. There are 12-15 ducks power feeding before their flight south for the winter. (I'd like to join them)! The Moose will be back as soon as the snow gets deeper in the mountains to the east of town. The global war... read more

It snowed here today! WooHoo! It looks fantastic outside. It's fresh, white, clean, and crisp. OK...OK... Enough about that! Let's talk about Mexico for 3 months! Oh hell yeah! BUT wait... That has to hold till after New Years. I went to the doctor, and he removed the staples. I go back in 2 weeks for a photo shoot (X-Rays), and re-evaluation. He said things looked really good. Anyway it's a gorgeous day, and I hope You'All are enjoying your day too. Thanks for being my friend!

UPDATED: September 24th!

I went to the Matanuska Glacier last Saturday with my friend Jonelle. It's about 100 miles North of Anchorage. The fall colors were absolutely Gorgeous. You may want to open up some of the photos I've posted to full size so you can appreciate Alaska's Beauty.

We spent about 6 hours on the Glacier. It was a little windy with the temperatures about +38 degrees when we set out, and about +28 degrees when we came back down. The air was so clean, and it was ... read more

I'm so glad we went out to see the Eclipse tonight. Jonelle, (my friend from Reno who just moved back) and my neighbors Charlie, and Melody jumped in the convertible, and we drove to the edge of town (near the airport 5 minutes away). Once we got there we were treated to an amazing display.

Just as the Moon was about half way through the Eclipse cycle the Northern Lights appeared to the North of us in the direction of Denali National Park.

They danced through the sky in shades of "X-... read more

I've been so busy for the past few weeks, and it's been really great. My friend moved back from Reno, and surprised me at my door the other day. We went with some other friends in my convertible to Seward ( a small town 200 miles south of Anchorage) to watch a friends band play, and take a road trip! It was awesome to cruise there with the top down soaking up the sun, and nature. We had a blast. Around 2 A.M. on the way home we rolled up on some people who had hit a Moose. * New Picture! I posted this photo after the gig. That's one of my vintage drum sets I rebuilt. It's from the 30's-40's era, and it's a "Slingerland RadioKing". It sounds great!

You're invite to come hear the "Jerry John Band" play at Noon on the 4th of July. This is a side project I'm involved in. For the past few years we've been playing the "Anchorage Folk Festival" at the Wendy Williamson Auditorium, and "4th of July" on the Park Strip. It's alot of fun to play in Jerry's band.

We had a great time at the Valentines Day Pajama Party here on the 17th. The house was packed with fun lov'in people in their P.J.'s groov'in to the tunes, rapp'in, and clapp'in. We had a $50.00 cash prize. My friend Lisa (see photo) won. It was also Angela's birthday. We had a (OMG)! Yummy Cheese Cake for her. Anyway, It was another successful party in a string of successful parties keeping the tradition of reaching new lows in inebriate behavior. I'm sooooo embarrassed, NOT!
