I was driving up the I-5, needs called, I slouched into line at a cheap fast restaurant and saw her. It was like a bolt of lighting hit me across the room- we were kindred spirits, we were both committed to different men- mine was leeather, hers was metal- eventually we had to run away together- after a few struggles crossing the country- Kansas fillies(or was that colts)we arrived in the Emerald City and moved up the Ho Chi Min trail. Years later- after the birth of the one and much crossing of the country we had to part- but still whenever we can..... Alright- way overdramatic. I love Bethany more than almost anyone and always will. I can not talk to her for a while and pick up where I left off- I can hear tensions and laughter in her emails (voice is usually too expensive) I can sit next to her and read and know what's going on with her- hell just that we can sit and read next to each other is something beyond all belief. I love her, her family, her son, I have crude fantasies about her brother - but that would bother him horribly- so if he's ever going to join tribe let me edit this part, I count on her sitting on my roof with me when I'm old to toss jello at small children(ok its my fantasy leave me alone). Until I can think of the perfect words to describe how wonderful she is this will have to do.

I am taking this poll, quick and dirty, for a work thing. Trying to determine what such sites are used. Obviously, since I am doing this ON LiveJournal, that one is going to show as the most used.

Feel free to pimp the poll to YOUR Flists and beyond. The most data in the least amount of time would be helpful. This is a public post!

One learning child. One connected child. One laptop at a time. The mission of One Laptop Per Child (OLPC) is to empower the children of developing countries to learn by providing one connected laptop to every school-age child. In order to accomplish our goal, we need people who believe in what weâre doing and want to help make education for the worldâs children a priority, not a privilege. Between November 12 and November 26, OLPC is offering a Give One Get One program in the United States and Canada. During this time, you can donate the revolutionary XO laptop to a child in a developing nation, and also receive one for the child in your life in recognition of your contribution. It runs a custom version of Linux, bundled with plenty of educational and social software, with a ton of downloadable programs to boot. Right now (for only 15 days!), for $399 they will donate one laptop to a child in a developing area. They will ALSO send you one, for a child in your life. Both laptops will have 1 year of free T-Mobile wireless internet access.
This is Bethany from EHS days.

I am posting the latest 20 Year Reunion message from Carole Garrett and Beth Deaver to 1987 Alumni that may stumble upon it. This does not mean I am attending, mind you, but I figured I'd pass the word. If you do want to get updates about the reunion, please let Beth and Carole have your contact info! If you don't, I understand that, too! Carole Lacey Beth Deaver Hello All! This is a last ditch effort to find those still missing in our class. We have 144 addresses but are still missing 152 people. Beth Deaver gathered the majority of the names over the past few months, we have also run ads in local papers, and I have searched Classmates.com and Reunion.com. I have sent a quite a few emails of people registered on those sites with only a few responses. SOOOO.....THIS IS IT.....unless we receive a response from this note with any information on the missing, preferably their address, we will not have a way to invite them to the reunion. If you know of location or married names, I have used Yellowbook.com to find some individuals and perhaps you could do the same to track people down or give me the info and I will try. Thank you in advance for any help you can provide! We really want this event to be special so every bit of assistance is greatly appreciated! Regards, Carole (Garrett) Lacey
