Emily holds a three year diploma in Art Craft and Design from the Kootenay School of the Arts at Selkirk College in Nelson British

Her work has won her a place on the finalist list of prestigious design competitions such as "The Niche Awards" 2007 Philadelphia, PA, USA and "Atout Fil Concours" 2007 Vauvert, France. Emily has worked in the costume studio of various Canadian theatre and dance companies. She brings this experience to her own studio practice as a custom made-to-measure designer.

Folk musician Miss Emily Brown brought me on board her music video as costume designer. We created a timeless fairy-talesque atmosphere based on the paintings of John Waterhouse. I made her a simple beige dress as the base of her costume and worked from there adding more layers of velvet jackets and accessories. Find out more about her music at www.emilybrownmusic.com

This year's theme which each artist is to elaborate on is "Spinning". My take on that was to create a burlesque stlye performance based on the two creatures that spin their own threads. . . The Spider and the Silkworm.
The two black and red leather, fetish clad male and ... read more
