rolling home

It was getting stupid windy as we were rolling through the MO / OK boarder region, so I stopped for the night, then I find I was a little more than an hour behind a tornado that killed 11 people very close to the place we just drove through. The storm is east of us now and still moving east, it looks to be moving north enough to miss hitting home, and moving fast enough that we will hit nothing but some rain as we close in on home tomorrow.

Odd thing is that yesterday we had some confusion about which way to go and we detoured about two hours while deciding that we did not want to go up the 25 to get on 75. That is about the time we needed to burn to have missed the tornado when we returned to 80 and went up 44. If we had gone 25 we would have missed it, and the time we wasted kept us from hitting it on the path we did pick. Even when we don't know what we are doing, we still seem to do the right thing. How about that...

Whew! May the force continue to be with you. Very glad you missed that mess.

Sorry we were so slammed and didn't get to connect while you were here.

Will you be stopping back this way again b4 the playa? For sure we'll see you then. There's a bbq in store for you at our place! Count on it!!!

Safe journey home.

We are home safe. The worst we saw was a little rain. 6200 and some miles. Time to rest for a bit.
