PENJAK SILAT

Silat is a term used by the peoples of Indonesia, Malaysia and the Southern Philippines to define their indigenous methods of fighting.
Silat training approaches the spiritual, psychological and physical dimensions which are one with the course of instruction.
Silat is done by knowing, not by thinking; confirmed by doing, not by rationalizing. It conceptualizes truth, not theories.
Through experience, we discover what to consider, not consider what to discover.
Through truth, consistency and patience we begin to perceive. Then we can distinguish the evident from the hidden, the superficial from the substantial, the circumstantial from the essential of what we think, do, and become.
This is a rare opportunity to experience an art that is still taught from the original perspective. One that remains unchanged and unaffected by contemporary trends and influences.
