My dreadlock blog. I'm an Au Pair in northern Switzerland and I'm really quite lonely at this juncture of my life. I have no really direction aside from wanting to be associated with a university regarding linguistic research. And even that I don't see any clear path to making it happen. I am very unconfident about my academic grades, though I have every confidence in my actual intelligence (it might even border on arrogance.) One of my dearest wishes is that I could get into a prestigious college that doesn't give a damn about GRADES and will actually focus on obtaining REAL KNOWLEDGE. Heh, good luck with that, right? That is such a depressing thought because I know how unlikely I am to find such a thing. The education systems now don't give a damn about actual learning. It doesn't matter that even the idea of standardized tests make me physically ill (from disgust, not nerves. NEVER nerves.)

Wool Felted Dreads

Had fun this afternoon felting some colored wool into five of my dreads. I did three with bright red and two with a multicolored wool mix. I LOVE THEM VERY DEARLY! Posted some pics in my album, go have a look-see!

Ah! Cornstarch?! The thought of cornstarch in my hair seriously makes me cringe. If Lock Peppa still had any residual appeal at all, that thought completely destroyed it.
