Ironic that so many people have access to the internet, and yet few people consider the consequences of their actions. To me the question posed is " Should the internet be as unregulated as it is ? " The answer is as complex as human nature itself. Like our fundamental " Rights" do dictate that we should have " Freedom Of Speech " but it does not mean in any way that we see fit........especially at the expense of others. Technology......I think will eventually catch up and this ugly behavior unworthy of " God's Chosen Creature " will be curbed or ended. We don't allow children to operate motor vehicles unsupervised at least until they are sixteen in Canada...........and even then it comes with some conditions until they pass a probationary period. Allowing any person with a laptop and the means to access the internet unrestricted is akin to handing the keys to a Lamborghini to a sixteen year old..........you can argue all you want that they have a valid driver's license and have a " Right " to operate that vehicle...........but sure a shit as you watch them drive away with a stupid smile on their face spinning the tires and revving the engine that by the end of the day they will have wrapped themselves around a pole or worse causing untold pain and misery. Intelligence and wisdom are not the same thing. My point is that a Lamborghini is too much car for a novice driver just as the internet unrestricted is too much powerful technology in the hands of a bunch of immature assholes............I'm just sayin. - Mikademus
