It's been tough times lately. All winter I've pretty much been tied up with mom's declining health. I really haven't had much time of late. I have applied to Art School for the Fall of 09' and I'm working on my portfolio. Well, I got home from war. It was a very quiet one this year. Not a lot of big parties. I guess the economy has an effect on people's booze money. I did go to Mardi Gras and to Vlad's a few times. Lost boys had a great party on our first night but we were really pooped from driving all day. this was my upteenth war and the first for Malik (Perry). It was a bit eye opening for him. He took lots of pictures, which I will post next week. It was interesting to see Pennsic from a newbie perspectiv...

Sewing, sewing, sewing. First time for two people, so it's a challenge. Pretty much got my stuff together except for a few odds and ends. I still have to put a coat of stain on my camp bed, finish 3 pairs of pants for Malick, Two Turkish coats for myself, 2 more pairs of harem pants, one choli blouse, a turban and finish off my dance belt. After looking at the nighttime temps, I might need another cloak for my boyfriend. I have two but they may be too girly for him. Right now I'm scrambling ...

Yes, my cat has cancer. the doc decided it would be best not to do any kind of surgery or the tumor and the cancer would spread. Also if we take out the kidney that the mass is attached to, then it's likely Jake would go into renal failure. SO I brought him home and until he get's too sick and not eating or drinking we are going to keep him around until the time comes. I've made my peace with it. He's such a sweet cat. Best one I've ever owned. It breaks my heart.
