Lifelong Chicagoan. 49. Married. Two daughters. Older daughter has cerebral palsy. Been focused on advocating for her. Come fall I will be starting two blogs, Miss Shuganah's Mutterings, for more performance art type writing, and Love's Labor, to focus on social justice and advocacy issues. Links will be forthcoming fairly soon. Self-taught in herbal medicine. My husband and I are planning to create an accessible garden come spring. In the past I was a prairie restoration volunteer. I think of myself less as a tree hugger and more as a tree listener. I miss being in the thick of things in social activism. I hope to return to that, too, in the near future. Taking back our democracy and related issues are important to me. I am also very supportive of work my husband and others are doing to make the world a better place.
