about me
You guess, and I'll tell you if you're getting warm, or if I am.
This is a great movie, and very informative. If they get a good showing this weekend, the theater will hold it over for another week! Please support this movie which offers us a blueprint for a sustainable future!
Synopsis:
"FUEL is an insightful portrait of America’s addiction to oil and an uplifting testament to the immediacy of new energy solutions. Director, Josh Tickell, a young activist, shuttles us on a whirlwind journey to track the rising domination of the petrochemical industr...

My Buddhist district has recently been absorbed into another one, and I've begun receiving these Daily Encouragment emails. I really like them and wanted to share this one with you, as I'm sure many of you can relate.
I'm looking forward to strengthening my Buddhist practice, and thus, myself and anyone else who would like try chanting and learning about the practice. I will help you. You can also go to: www.sgi-usa.org for more info. Just let me know if you're interested.

My friend Ralf and I participated in videotaping a few Phoenix Project fire performances at Enchanted Deva's back when they were happening earlier this year. I particularly liked Lou and his partner's interpretation of the Beasty Boys' "Sabotage". Ralf did some audio and video editing of it, and posted the clip on his Myspace video page. Myspace allows a larger picture size to be posted (16x9) than Youtube (4x3), so I decided to just post a link to his page. Click on the box-shaped icon to th...

I was born and raised in L.A. (Mar Vista). When I was 17-22 years old, I'd occasionally go to Hollywood clubs to check out some bands. They included punk bands, as well as up-and-comers like the Red Hot Chili Peppers.
Occasionally, I drive through neighborhoods that are very beautiful here that should be recorded. Once I get a good digital camera, I may put together a series or two and post them on a proper webpage.
Blame Susanne for starting this on-line Hollywood Star thing--I'm just...

Everybody knows LA has a third-class transportation system and needs to do something about it. There's an interesting article in City Beat about some folks trying to plan a system such as you see here. Once a constituency begins to demand it, the politicians will listen, and it'll get done sooner. www.lacitybeat.com/cms/stor...oss/6537/ .
If you're interested in getting involved, there will be a meeting today, Thursday, 1/10/08. For more info on this, check out: ...

When I first met Stream (at a Burner costume exchange party), I looked at him and I thought, "This is an aesthetically perfect man." He's so trim and chiseled. I thought he'd be a stuck-up snob, too cool for the likes of *me*.
Happily, nothing could be further from the truth. I don't think this guy knows how cool he really is. He's loyal, funny, interesting, fair, a great runner and an awesome hooper. Plus, he has one of the better quotes I heard at Fuente: "Racists are grumpy people." Ladies--take note of all this, 'cause there really should be a line at his door!! I am grateful to have his awesome friendship in my life.
