Sahara Dance Performs at "Monday Night at the National"

Raqs Sahara and Sahara Tribal will be performing two full shows at “Monday Night at the National” at the National Press Club. Grounded in the traditional elements and technique of the “belly dance,” this company adds graceful and dynamic contemporary influences from diverse dance styles including Egyptian Raqs Sharqi, Beledi, Oriental Lyrical, American-Tribal and “Belly-Brazilian.” The dancers promote the transformative power of these dances to motivate creative self-discovery and joyful expression.
