Sleepy and Happy in Houston
(blog entry)
Finally have a week off and some time to spend in Denver and Houston with friends and family. I've been noticeably more busy these past few weeks than I can ever remember, but it wasn't until I stopped moving that it's caught up with me. Sleepy, l...

about me
I've avoided this little box for some time now, because I can't figure out how to put myself in it. Even without being metaphorical; it's just a challenging task. So here are the snippets that are running through my brain: FREEDOM to be me, to explore and to explore being me. CONNECTING with others. TEACHING...I'm destined to be a teacher. POSITIVE outlook on EVERYTHING (what I strive for; I'm still working on it). EXPERIENCING as much as possible, FINDING A BALANCE internally and externally. FRIENDS, FRIENDS, FRIENDS. "What's so funny about peace, love and understanding?" as Chad says, MUCH LOVE AND LIGHT!
Finally have a week off and some time to spend in Denver and Houston with friends and family. I've been noticeably more busy these past few weeks than I can ever remember, but it wasn't until I stopped moving that it's caught up with me. Sleepy, lazy but happy week this is turning out to be.
Truth be told, I've been enjoying not having time to think about the future and what will be happening to me in two short months. Now that my body's not moving so much, my mind has picked up its pace ...

Let me just say, I love traveling solo! As one who sometimes resists the flow, being without a familiar presence is the best way to fully immerse myself in and take advantage of what's happening around me. You're never alone for long, I've found.
So thank you Frostburners for the yummy food, warm fires, and especially good company this weekend! A regional burn was JUST what I needed for a little extra boost of energy for these winter months. Especially happy to spend time with the NYC crew...

I would just like to announce that as of tonight at 7:00PM on December 15th, I am officially a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh!
I GRADUATED...YAY ME!
I didn't anticipate being so thrilled to tell people, but now I'm thinkin' that this is a heck of an accomplishment for me. Good reminder that I can not only do anything I want, but that I can do it with style. My friends may have had to help dress me for the ceremony (still workin' on the dressing up pretty thing), but I did all...

This testimonial is a placeholder for when large deadlines aren't looming over my head. For now, however, I'll say that Meg is a tremendous force in a small package, bringing an openness and warmth into situations and making you feel like you've known her your whole life...or at least so comfortable that you must have! Plus she can spin made flaming things without setting anyone on fire, which is always a bonus. So, uh, yeah, she's worth being around...and how!

you were dropped out of the skies into my world in the strangest of laces, black rock city. what a wonderful week it was getting to know you while i was in a most rare form....one i wish to keep going but wonder about the long-term effects....anyway....... thank you for being you, and for being honest and open at all times. thank you for the continued correspondence. i do hope that our paths cross again...perhaps for some distant american dream in BRC
