Washington Renaissance Fantasy Faire
The largest Ren Faire in the Pacific Northwest. Also, the place where I go pretend to be royalty and stuff.

Seattle Early Dance
Where I go Tuesday nights! Anna is an absolute goddess who I cannot say enough good things about!

This American Life
My absolute favorite show in any medium. Often hysterical, occasionally heartbreaking and always spellbinding. Plus, I feel about Ira Glass the way Amanda Palmer feels about Christopher Lyden.

Games People Play...
Deer wander into Amy's backyard now and again. We never seem to have either bread rolls or Manowar handy when they do, sadly.

So, first Thanksgiving married and in the new house was pretty nice, despite the continued proliferation of boxes and piles of stuff everywhere. Glenn brined the turkey and I roasted it and it came out deliciously and was paired roasted green bean...

1. Are you taller than your best friend?
I'm totally an amazon. So... yeah. And that's saying something 'cause Amy isn't a shrimp herself.
2. Do you have a favorite type of pen?
I'm torn. I have a nice fountain pen that I love and is neat,...

So, escrow should close by the end of this month, and then moving and settling in and all that sort of stuff.
Once we move, I will be able to get a dog if I want. I have my cat, Kuma, which I have mentioned in the past, and I love my cat to ...

For quite some time, he’s worked doing the original sculptures for toy companies. If you are into that sort of thing, chances are better than excellent that you own some of his work. Anyway, he and his friend have very bravely started a company and negotiated all the contracts involved in doing a line of sculptures based on the George RR...

So, first Thanksgiving married and in the new house was pretty nice, despite the continued proliferation of boxes and piles of stuff everywhere. Glenn brined the turkey and I roasted it and it came out deliciously and was paired roasted green beans, cornbread rice and sausage stuffing, mashed potatoes, spiced apricot cranberry sauce, white corn and an apple tart with creme brulee ice cream that I made. I was particularly proud of the tart, as the crust came out perfectly and I drizzled the th...

I haven’t been able to find my toothpaste for the last couple days and have had to use Glenn’s, which is one of those ‘natural’ toothpastes and tastes like apricot and is strange. I am giving up and buying new toothpaste tonight because I need that assertive mint flavor to feel like my mouth is clean. I’m going room to room and unpacking, which is always sort of funny... you put away the obvious t...

I'm torn. I have a nice fountain pen that I love and is neat, but for general day to day office use, I enjoy The Foray fine point .7mm rollerball pen.
3. Have you ever worn the opposite sex's underwear?
I think most girls have worn boxers and I am no exception.

Once we move, I will be able to get a dog if I want. I have my cat, Kuma, which I have mentioned in the past, and I love my cat to a rather ridiculous degree, as Amy can attest to... But see, I grew up with dogs. My dad was most assuredly a dog person, and until I moved out on my own, I always had at least one dog (and generally more)
Predating my birth was Prudence, who had ...

So, one day, in early 07, I knew I was going to move to the state of Washington. Mike was interested in finding a faire up in our soon-to-be home area, and he found one. Then, Steven Leon said that someone from that faire wanted to talk to me on tribe. Well, I have a rule that I need to have had physical contact with a person if I'm to be their friend on tribe, but I made an exception for this random stranger named Chelsea.
Boy am I glad I did. Random stranger turned out to be the Queen of the faire I was about to join, and she wanted me in her nobles group. Although I was nervous about it, I wanted to go ahead with constructing a costume and performing close to her. I made a great decision.
She's helpful and caring. She doesn't mind driving all the way to the East Side just for an evening of Sing Star or chillaxin'. I'm super glad I know her, and am looking forward to a fun and fulfilling existence with her. Maybe, in 3 or 4 years, we can be "whores" together. Now *that* will be fun.

Now that I've formally face to face met Chelsea, I can give a proper testimonial....
Chelsea's a lovely woman who does an excellent portrayal of a Queen at their faire! Her and I met on tribe and over the course of the year, became good friends. She always has your back and your best interests at heart!
I am exceedingly proud to call this lovely lady my friend!
(Luv ya dollface!)
Cheers!

One of the sweetest and loving people I know, Chelsea is the popular girl that you spend your free time praying notices you. Always the one to greet with a huge hug and a smile, Chelsea makes everyone feel welcome and loved. She has a way of listening and sympathizing that makes you want to spill out all your problems for her to make better.
Everyone has to admire a woman who drags on pounds of velvet and steel to play Queen in the middle of August. Chelsea is the perfect Queen, and the perfect friend for those lucky enough to know her.
I love you, Queenie! <3

I heart Chelsea, so so much. <3 She's always been sweet and nice to me, even when I may not have deserved it, and has this knack for making me feel great when I may have been feeling down. She glows with positivity and general charm, and I hope she never changes from the wonderful person she is.

Chelsea is Teh Fookus, first off. Godmother of my children, and truly my sister, Chelsea was the first female friend I ever really had. Well, the first one I didn't secretly hate and wish would go away. :) She broke me of that habit, too, and now I have tons of awesome girlfriends, but none that are the same as Fookus.
The understander of my silly valley girl slang (and fellow purveyor of terrible Cali speech slurs), the person that drags me to concerts and makes me have fun, and the best friend in the world. Also the best Queenie in the world! Always has my back, and always is my heart. :)
