plugging away

I have really come long way just in the last week. I am becoming certified through a national company by the first of the year to speak on stress and time management and be able to provide CEU (continuing education units) to employees in different professions that need them. I can also speak in schools and universities. I am hoping that this will help me make ends meet and give me more time to write. My goal is to market myself full-time instead for a corporation

You gotta love irony

I have recently inquired about publishing my work and I give thanks to those who replied. I have learned that to get your work noticed that you have to market, market, market. Funny I am in marketing now and would love to get out to do my own thing. Now I have to market to get out of marketing. It just goes to show you everything is a business. I guess at least now I can market myself and with my experience in marketing I am definitely no stranger to the word "no". My philosophy in sales is go for the "no". At least you can weed out the ones that are a dead end.

not enough time

I 'm always trying to create time to write. I have a full time job that pays my bills, but writing and life coaching/speaking is my passion. It's like exercising, you always feel better when you do it, but finding the time is hard. Sometimes I have time to write like I have now, but I can hear my significant other yelling because someone just made a touchdown for his favorite team. So it hard to get inspired in that situation for any serious writing. I have realized though, that finding time to do these things (writing and coaching) is not just for the sake of my craft itself but more importantly my sanity. Everyone should find time for their passion. I have figured out that God has given me these talents not just to use but for my own peace of mind and happiness.
