Just that. Lately, I'm the happiest that I have been in a long time. Probably even happier than I've ever been, as far as I can remember. :)

I love this feeling.

Wanted: Audience Members

The turn out for Children of Eden has been....very low. About 65 yesterday, and about 40 today -- possibly a little less. At the risk of sounding like begging, PLEASE come to see our show. It's a good story, it's beautifully put together, and all of the reviews I've heard of our production have been positive. And you really can't argue with our prices (however, there's a fear of us losing our shirts due to producing shows being so expensive, and the turnout/donations being so small thusfar).

It's exceedingly difficult to put on as good a show as possible when the cast outnumbers the audience -- especially when it's an unresponsive audience.

Here's the information for the remaining dates:

Dates and times:
August 31 & September 1 at 7:30 p.m.
August 26 & September 2 at 2:00 p.m.

(note: I'd arrive at least 20 minutes before the start, so that a better seat can be grabbed -- there is no assigned seating)

Location:
16575 Shannon Road, Los Gatos, CA 95032

Ticket Price:
IT'S FREE!! There is Free Will donation accepted at the door, though, so please give to support our community theater.

Better one...or two?

I put this in my LJ as well, but I'll put it here too. What the heck, right? ;-)

I've made two attempts at getting my hair to look somewhat 1940s....both attempts at a pageboy, because it looked simple. I need help, though! The swing event is on Saturday, and I'm not sure which to do for it. Which style looks more "1940" on me? I do have a hat to plop over the top, too.

Here's my attempt by using hot rollers...it ended up extra curly, but relaxed pretty well:
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v99/CaityKitola/Picture032.jpg

Just did this with a curling iron. This is relaxing a LOT quicker than the other...primarily because my hair doesn't hold a curl well:
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v99/CaityKitola/Picture033.jpg

So those are my two attempts....please take a moment to say which you like best? I'll give you cookies if you do! ::bats lashes::

Hope everyone had a wonderous day today. I won't type up my entire "haul," since that seems strange, but I will mention the bit that I'm the most excited about....because it amuses me. :) Out of the things that I got (mostly knitting equipment/accessories, clothing, what-have-you)....what I'm the most excited over are the super insanely comfortable swing dance shoes -- which are normal enough looking that you can wear them without having them look like dance shoes, if you follow me. Like....my jazz sneakers have a split sole, but these just look normal: http://www.swingdanceshop.com/swivelinblack.html

Anyway, those came with a way cute black and red swing dance dress as well. I just need an excuse to wear them, because I can't WAIT to go dancing with these things! ;)

(Also amusing....I got silver earrings that look like garlic cloves. SWEET! The randomness of it wins.)

I'll be carrying around cards that advertise the dates of my upcoming performance in The Wizard of Oz with the JCC. The show is going to be in Campbell, at the Campbell Heritage Theater. If you see me, and want the information, let me know and I'll hand over one of the postcards. :)

Okay, granted, I don't think I've ever heard them before, but it was mentioned to me and sounds kinda fun.
