hi. its been about one year since i have posted anything to my tribe page.....thought it was about time. life finds me standing in the thickness of motherhood, which seems to force me to live in the moment. i am really appreciating being a friend of this kind of presence. from my window, i see a native wiliwili tree growing in a gully. a breeze blows the leaves that line an avocado branch....softly up and down, softly side to side. the sky is pale blue today, after being full of volcanic grey for the last few weeks. i am alive and healthy.....i am grateful. i am here, now.
my first mother's day
on my very first mother's day, i spent the day with my son in 'iao valley. i dipped his feet in the river, and we hung out and let the sound of the river fill our ears. it was wonderful. i fall more and more in love with him each day. i feel like motherhood is the best thing that has ever happened to me...
