Being online, I could say anything - say that I'm, "sexier than Prince, funnier than Richard Pryor, richer than Donald Trump, smarter than Stephen Hawking, and purer than Gandhi." In the flesh, I'm richer than Gandhi, sexier than Hawking, smarter (way smarter) than Trump, purer than Pryor, and funnier than Prince.
I was born and raised in smalltown England and while I miss many things (The Clangers, the Tate Modern, the Tube) I'm in love with SF (and Oakland & Berkeley) - the place I truly feel at home. There's so much to do here, which plays to my strengths (I try everything) and my weaknesses (I try everything). Generally, I'm so focused on being a dilettente - but a few passions have been with me since I was a wee nipper. I LOVE to dance - all kinds of clubbing (house, trance, afrobeat, dancehall, you name it) and have tried my feet at salsa, swing, waltz, cha cha, tango, samba, afro-cuban - with varying degrees of success...
Metaphorically, I'm a political refugee - further left than Che and cheerful helper in many causes - but not for long. An activist I'm (sadly) not (yet?).
Friends are the world to me. I have many, near and far. Laughing, raging, crying, and supporting them is my way of coping with my diasporic family and feeling whole. And, it's unbelievable fun!
