Without flowery language or self-indulgent hot air... I'm a belly dance performer, instructor, and promoter living in Austin, Texas. I teach weekly classes for all levels, private lessons for experienced performers, and seminars in technique and choreography across the USA and annually in Jamaica. I perform at community events, corporate functions, family celebrations - and never, ever in your living room. I produced my first belly dance cd "Ya Bahaia", with Samer Issa and the Am'waj Band from Jordan in 2004. And I released my first performance dvd, "Cairo Heat Wave" in Summer 2006 (yes, you can and should buy that stuff from my website). I've been featured in 3 dvd's by the International Academy of Middle Eastern Dance in Hollywood, CA. I host annual belly dance seminars in Austin and semi-annual dance retreats in Hunt, TX. I'm the founder & president of the Aria Dance Foundation, a 501c3 non-profit org dedicated to promoting belly dance as art.
