I'm a frog- learning to meditate

Froglessness
> by: Thich Nhat Hanh
>
> The first fruition of the practice
> is the attainment of froglessness.

> When a frog is put
> On the center of a plate
> She will jump out of the plate
> After just a few seconds.

> If you put the frog back again
> On the center of the plate,

Buying a Place to Live- who me?!

I gave my month's notice to my landlady.

I'm workingon getting a loan to buy a place of my own.
I'm so excited! The time is right for me to buy. I feel like a responsible, centered adult.

Also, I'm going to start massage therapy school in a few weeks.

San Lorenzo Park, 137 Dakota Avenue, Santa Cruz
12:00-3:30

Join together for a peaceful, public response to the events of 911 and the violence that has ensued, bringing peace, love, and unity into the world through the traditional practice of a yoga mala - 108 sun salutations - accompanied by live music and multiple lead teachers. YFP is a moving celebration of our commitment as yogis to the path of peace and provides a rare chance for us to come together outside of the separate studios where we practice and teach to demonstrate the connection between yoga and a peaceful world.
All forms of silent meditation welcome. Please join us.

I passed my Yoga Alliance Certification

This Sunday I passed my practical exam. I am now a certified yoga instructor. The class that I taught felt really good. I feel that I can track so much more now: the students in the class, the time, the allignment instructions, hands on adjustments and modification suggestions.

kitten love lessons

I found a great home for the kitten. She's living with a 12 year old girl and her family now. The girl feel right in love with her! She wants to love and take care of her. She doesn't mind that she's going to grow up into a cat. She said she loves cats too. Her mom said she would make sure she got all her shots and such. She is a student at the school where I work so I'll keep in touch next year.

It was sad to let her go! Ah the lessons of the heart continue to amaze.
