about me
I've been called an Amazon Goddess-at 6'3 I can see the Amazon part-loyal, eccentric, sweet, eclectic, a catalyst, a chaos-monkey, and painfully blunt, take your pick.
I grew up knowing that the myths were real, because I'd seen, felt, touched and tasted them...living in New Orleans just made it a more common-day occurance...grin I flame-trance, dancing with the flames as they lick the wood of a bonfire on full-moon's at the beach with the Rainbow Drum Circle, and often come out of the trance soaked to the skin with singed clothing and have recently heard the delighted laughter of the Flames as they spun around me on 28" chains. I've published one book-Twilight Calling-and finished my fourth in June '08. Between the two chaos-magnets known as my daughters, my writing, 3 horses, 4 cats, and a family of racoons in my pepper tree, life is Good. Not in some Hallmark Card way, or what anyone would call 'Perfect', but I am surrounded by Love. What more could I possibly want? I love to dance around the bonfire at night, wake up with a warm body beside me, sink my fingers into sun-warmed soil, walk along the beach an hour or two before sunset and pick up trash as I go, and connect with total strangers that suddenly feel like old friends. Regret is for those that learned nothing, or have nothing better to do. My best memories are born from Chaos, when I've left my comfortable solitude and traveled alone into the unknown. Chaos, the random events that happen every second of our lives, and gods, aren't the random ones often the best? When something totally unplanned blossoms into a joy-filled adventure of the senses, that pushes us in our personal beliefs of what we are, and how everything connects? Love and Laughter, in the end, that's all that matters.
You are not connected to Maeve
want to grow your network?
This dream is choppy, but as I've had it for the last four or so nights, I thought perhaps it wished to be shared...lol

I sat on a hip-high bolder of rose quartz just past twilight, when the warm summer winds had yet to fade and the skies are a sacred violet. Wrapping my arms around a bent leg, I rested my chin on a knee as my gaze glanced over the numerous people dancing before me, their bodies illuminated by the mating glow of fireflies. In the luminous white sand that encircled my p... read more
On Friday, I decided to be consciously happy. That no matter the chaos, the strife, or that slow driver in the fast lane, I was going to Live without expectations.

This weekend at T&L's I laughed for the sheer joy of it, curled up with friends for the pure contentment it brings me and took the pain of those that offered it...all without expectation, revolving through the moment...for a heartbeat, for a sigh, for a smile... I never knew how truly freeing it was to simply Exist. I hadn'... read more
I stood on a small island, warm white sand sifting 'tween my toes and aqua-marine ocean as far as my eyes could ponder, watching Life move about beneath the crystal clear waters with a simple sense of contentment. I was part of the sky. I was a part of the water and all the life that moved within it. Even the fine grains of sand and I were one within this giant fishbowl of Creation.

For any of you with a myspace account, please feel free to look me up (www.myspace.com/bandruid)! I've just created a new Cause, a fundraising/awareness app for Human Translation, the organization created by Tobias Rose-Stockwell, one of our very own Burners (in above pic)! For those of you that haven't met Tobias, it's because he spends a lot of time in Cambodia overseeing multiple projects there, but you may have met him most recently at BM '07. If you did, ... read more
I first heard Abbi Spinner's songs at Rights of Spring, two weeks after my spinal surgery, walking slowly around a blazing bonfire.

Her music over the years has lifted me from some very dark places, carried me in her arms when I was soul-weary, and sent my hips to swaying as my arms snaked above my head in blissful moonlit dance. Her music calls to all ages, young and old finding something that calls to them in the vocals, djembe, udu, djundjun and doumbek. I just found her second album ... read more

I love being this woman's own personal faerie. She was so kind when I had no friends anywhere in SoCal.
We then discovered that we're both the same kind of nerd in this wacky community. I love her tons and will always wish her well. August 22, 2006

Maeve, words cannot express! I will try. The sun, the moon, and the stars cannot hold a candle to Maeve. I met Maeve, for the first time, at GWW 2005. At first glance, I thought to myself, "What a beautiful lady.", so I made sure to tell her how lovely she was. She smiled and we started talking. Lo, I was hooked, I knew right then and there that I had found a beautiful new friend. We shared many adventures that night!! Something about jello and a moonlite sky and lots of drums :). My only regret is that we live so far away from each other. Oh, well, I still look forward to all the great adventures we can share from this moment on. :) I say to Maeve, "Blessed be "they" that brought you to me." Friends are one of the most valuable gifts to be given. XOXO, Love, Siobhan.

I’ve known Maeve for over 13 years, She is one of the finest examples of a friend a person could ever have.
She’s very outgoing, exceptionally fun, remarkably witty, extremely kind and thoughtful. She not only has an awesome sense of humor, but is an absolute Blast to be around. She truly is a "Goddess" in her own right! Maeve is probably the most eclectic and uniquely open minded women I’ve ever have the "Pleasure" of knowing. Her Beauty echoes outward from her heart and you can’t help by being swept up by her energy, she truly is brilliant and inspiring to be around. There have been times in her life where she’s had the opportunity to live a kind of lifestyle that the rest of us dream about, but only get to read in books. It’s not to say that she’s the most "Kinky" individual I’ve ever meet, but just thinking about her experiences is exceptionally intriguing for me to know about some of the cool stuff she’s done. . .Maeve is truly wonderful and absolutely the Best person anyone could ever know! Randwulf :)
